Well I've had two interesting messages today from two totally unconnected people.

The first is from the lad who told me that there would be a club statement before Shrewsbury. He says that all the theories about Brexit, position of the moon, proximity to the next match, etc are irrelevant. Nor does it matter where in the world Donald might be, it's an electronic world and he doesn't need to be sat at his desk for the press to be informed. They're hoping for today and it will come out as soon as everyone has OK'd the draft.

Secondly, there was a feasibility study done on the new club badge and that's been mentioned again.

This. If he's signed it just announce the details and we can all get on with being suitably unimpressed! Sorry, I know I'm being a negative ****er, think it's just dragged on that long that I can't see it having a positive outcome, probably end up being a small loan with high interest and they'll never actually get involved in the running of the club. Still hope to be surprised though!

I know where you're coming from but I think with the amount of time and scrutiny that has been going on it'll be something substantial if it does happen. For me it'll either be nothing or everything if you get me.

KTF marra. This whole thing has sapped the positive energy out of us all,but,until we hear it's off...it's on!

Hope you're right mate, just feel like if it was something major there'd be more rumblings. Initially it seemed to be a full takeover, then we've had Nixon saying that's off, then Donald clarifying it was only ever investment, then the rumours of it just being a loan initially. All seems to have gone incredibly quiet in terms of any rumours of it being significant (decent % ownership of the club). Mind I've been positive for ages and nowt has happened, maybe this is just my mind trying reverse psychology and making me think it's ****ed!

I hope this new information is correct. It would be the best birthday present possible. I also hope that PhilFTM isn't the depressive PhilSAFC from RTG, or the words 'pinch of salt' will come to mind.
