Martinelli is going to be some player... he’s got so many goals in him and some great little touches. Our strike force is immense. Lacazette and Aubameyang backed up by Martinelli.
If only we actually used creative players we’d be scoring for fun.

I think it’s time we throw caution to the wind Wenger style and play some offensive football again.

With the front three rotating. Luiz to push forward into a DM role when The midfield needs to flood the space and when the rest of them inevitably push too far forward.

Tonight may have been a shambles but it reminded me how much more I enjoy football when we are an offensive team and not boring ****ty emery style-less football. It’s time to just go toe to toe and try to out score our opposition - the defensive cagey and scared football we play now doesn’t stop our defence being **** so we may as well attack!

Both teams too conservative in their approach.
couldn't agree more its a shame the way this safety first football has taken hold .
that line up just doesn't work .
No way would you score enough to counteract the torrent of goals you would concede .Plus Lacazette Martinelli & Auba (if you played him as CF ) would be occupying the same space .
Sigh, so a few thoughts.
Ozil was our best player today - yet he was still substituted(at a period in the game where it made no sense at all).
Holding and Mustafi both had poor games.
Martinelli is something special. His finishing is absolutely lethal.
Torreira give us soo much more than Xhaka plus he's an actual holding player who can play that role correctly.
Willocks goal was World class.
Ultimately though - we were 5-4 up with just a few minutes to go and regardless of how crazy the game had been previously the team could not keep their shape/nerve and hold on for the win. Everything good about todays game came down to individual moments of quality - Willocks goal, Ozils assist, Martinellis finishing.. etc.. Tactically we are still awful and to the doubts about Emery are continuing to grow.
