Your dislike of Desfarte (under whatever name) is quite clear.

However, the constant bile that you aim at him (every time he posts), only reinforces the accuracy of your description as a 'Well-Known Member'

If you don't want to read his posts just stick him on ignore or report any that you find objectionable.

Simple!

Just give it a rest man - This isn't RTG, where people can, quite clearly, pursue personal agendas.

The gall of this considering your posts to me over the last 2 weeks is quite something :D

Edit: just read the last page, not trying to get into anything, just found it funny.

This is what I want, to build from the ground up. We can't be a rich man or mens plaything as eventually they will get bored or the returns won't be there.

Not as exciting as buying success but makes any success more sustainable

I don't think it has to be either or. Keep spending sustainable amounts on targets such as promotion, which have defined rewards. We shouldn't be in League One, and the longer we are, the harder it is to sustain spending on infrastructure that is designed for the top level.

Think we need a good balance and to be making progress on the pitch as well as off it.

Unfortunately we are and it will be very difficult for us to get out
With the way other teams are getting better results

And this is your reminder that SD owes our club at least £20m

We should not be scrapping around the mid table of league one, we should have walked it, and we could have spent enough to dominate this division this season even without investment. When an owner projects a £5m profit and spends nothing on players, what will he do if we're losing money?

Again, this takeover needs to have a positive impact on the football side. I don't trust Donald to administer it, he's shown no aptitude for it so far, so whoever is coming in needs to be firm and make sure he isn't able to ignore them.

I mean the way Methven was talking the other day, it sounds like we're going to be stuck with this lot. Anyone think we'll go up if we are?

We need this more than ever don't we? Nowt against Donald really but he isn't even going to be capable of taking Sunderland out of league one without some major investment. It's quite frankly pathetic. Thought we were a bit unlucky today, but **** me, we shouldn't need luck to turn over some of these sides down here
He should never been allowed to take us over in the first place.

and we could have spent enough to dominate this division
We bought the most expensive striker this league has seen in a long time and he has been a complete failure. The answer is in getting the players to play as a team. Other's are doing it in this league having spent nothing.

My opinion - again I’m not ITK - but if it’s true that he’s wanting to stay on in some capacity then he hasn’t really shown he’s capable of running the place.

Agreed. Said it before, if I was an American billionaire I'd want him out, wouldn't trust him and his team with a penny of my money. I'd want a full takeover and appoint someone else to run it

At this point, if any of the texts and rumours, or even what CM has said are true, then I don't even know what is happening, but I'm not overwhelmed by the scale of it.

Buying one player and him not working out is not an excuse to never spend money again, particularly as we also sold a player in the same window for at least the same fee, possibly more in time.

We need better scouting, better coaching, and better players. None of those things should be out of our current budget, yet we're muddling along this season as if there's no option. There is - use 1/20th of the money Donald owes us to buy 2-3 good players who will make a difference in January. Don't leave it to chance.

If it doesn't happen I've a worry we will drop further.
