33 games to go, and investment incoming. Not as bleak as some people thought a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully a victory on Saturday and investment confirmed, there should be a lot more optimism regarding SAFC.....Ha'wayyy
We are in a decent position at the minute without really playing well in the majority of games
A fully fit Watmore and a goal scoring Will grigg could be the difference of finishing in the top 2 at the end of the season, plus hopefully we will sign a little bit quality in January someone like maddison would make us very strong going in to the 2nd half of the season

Top 2 is still very much doable, but, let's not get too carried away. We need to actually build some momentum. Tuesday could still be a one off rather than the new norm.

The signs were positive though, and Ipswich faltering is a good sign.... even Peterborough started like this last season as well and fell away, so if we can get going ourselves there's nowt to worry about in this division.

Totally agree, Peterborough and Portsmouth started really well last season and both fell away when it mattered. The squad we have and the addition of a couple of players in January should see us finish in an automatic spot.

Agree with this. I think sometimes some have a tendency to get too despondent after a bad game but equally others get far too optimistic after a good one! Tuesday was great, really enjoyed it and it's the kind of ruthless performance I'd associate with an automatic promotion team but let's be honest, a top two side will likely have runs where they string 8+ wins together in a row, that's the kind of thing we need. Equally we need to be beating decent sides, so far 12th (Rochdale) is the highest up team that we've beaten. We've played and failed to beat 5 of the top 6 (still to play Coventry). So whilst I'm delighted with the last performance we've got a long way to go before I start thinking we've got a genuinely good chance of top two

Won't get too carried away about January investment but good to get a win and a performance. We were never adrift but didn't look like a side that was going to pull ourselves back into it
