I wouldnt get too far ahead of yourself.
We ( as a club ) have had more than our fair share of false Dawns.
We have a right to feel positive etc, but we would all be silly to think parky has it sussed already.
I suspect we are 2 or 3 players short of automatic promotion and I have faith parky knows already who they are and will have feelers out.
Fingers crossed
At least it was easier on the eyes....

And agree that we probably need a couple of quality additions in January...

Not sure if quality is the apt word.
I suspect dependable.
I reckon one central midfielder and a central defender, maybe a big mobile striker.
I just reckon he will want players who can wear the opposition down with power, pace and maybe some precision.
It wont be pretty.
We then let the likes of maguire, macgeady, grigg use their technical skills to top it off.
Damn I hate all this optimism.

Well when I clicked on the link and saw it was a post of mine you were responding to and it related to how you got your user name, what else might my reaction be?

I would have expected you (or anyone else) to accept the context of my reply.

I was asked a question (by yourself) and gave an honest answer to it.

An idiot then utilised my RTG user name to 'like' it.

Quite why you should then believe my subsequent comments were aimed at you I have NO idea!

Where is this bloody announcement!!????!??

I'm hearing encouraging snippets but I've come to the conclusion that it's better for all concerned if there's a proper club announcement with as much detail as possible.

Because of my relentless pushing for info I've also used up most of my favours. When it looked as though it was about to be announced I got myself a bit over excited and said a bit too much.

I'm content to sit back now and wait for the news of what I still believe is a takeover ...

.... albeit without an instant buyout.

I look forward to my wine being as chilled as I am :emoticon-0103-cool:

I reckon one more snippet, just for old times sake :emoticon-0143-smirk<party>

White Wine man eh...

Just announcement this week but how many times we heard that now

Anyone get the opinion half way through negotiations Donald was issued a sheet of paper by the yanks (sitting opposite) and it said - in order for us to invest, then to takeover (once in championship) we need you to:

1) Fire the Manager Jack Ross
2) Fire the MD
3) Stop speaking to social f***** media or we are out.

Do this and we'll close this out.

Depends if your having fish by the Croatian Riviera or Steak by the Fireplace in Argentina, or tuna sandwiches in mackemland.

Don't like seafood so have to be steak by the fireplace... a warm rug and a naked hottie for desert sounds like a cracking night

OK mate, I reckon people will be fighting for Shrewsbury tickets.

I've had a few messages recently saying things were accelerating by I'd say we're about to get into top gear before the weekend.

I can't make Shrewsbury but will be at Oxford and hope Donald & Methven will show up ...

.... they've done a great job bringing Dell in and keeping their nerve.

I've had a few wobbles but would shake them both by the hand. Some of the abuse they've had isnt what Sunderland is all about.

Im not saying that happened as I don’t know, but it is entirely possible that they’d want some sort of changes to be made, especially if Donald is staying on as has been rumoured. They might want their own person in running the club or they may want to see if Donald will do what they ask?

To be fair the abuse has been from the idiots which gets amplified on social media.

Even total sport were talking about it last night.

Probably not.

This stuff doesn't generally work like that. People just like to after-event stuff and assume a lot about motives and red-lines etc. It's usually very amicable, even when things are quite direct and the issues not agreeable.

I also agree with smug, it's almost pointless at this stage because we don't know what the headline terms of the deal are. We can guess, but if we don't know, everything looks horribly out of whack when the truth hits and leads to disappointment down the line. Case in point, the club talking about majority shareholdings etc. Let's just assume these lads are happy to fund us up the leagues in some capacity, and may have an option to capitalise their investment at some point.
