I was told a couple of weeks ago by two sources one that Davison had worked on the paperwork for an agreement with the Americans and another the same info but with the addition that if it comes off it might lose him his job. I dropped a hint on here.
I’d heard similar. Feel sorry for him but it’s definitely related to a takeover.
If true it's huge news. I said a while ago that I didn't see how Donald could stay; we wouldn't want him overseeing the football side where he'd admit he hasn't done well, simply doing fan engagement stuff like Chris Waters doesnt seem like a genuine role for a director. The only other thing he could do, that he's good at, is the commercial side (with a bit of the fan stuff that he likes on top) but we had Davison there who seems to have a good reputation. If Davison has gone that's the role Donald takes to stay involved.
I'll take with a pinch of salt for now mind, after all we also heard O'Brien had joined as a Director and that seems to be bollocks, but if true it must mean the Americans are coming (or, being pessimistic, that we're cutting costs even more, but let's assume it isn't that!)

I hope it’s the Americans and not O’Briens. No offence meant either but there’s a huge difference in what they can offer.
