Have the biscuits arrived for the board meeting yet?
I'm hoping for a five o'clock announcement.

I suppose we're all in danger of appearing a little hypocritical.

We want the 'Dell money' to come flooding into 'our' club ...

... but don't want Donald to be too concerned with his own finances.

I'd hope there's a compromise because, as things stand, Donald is overseeing the worst period of the club's history.

If it transpires we've shunned 'investment', rejected Phillips and failed to get out of this league I think his stock will be rock bottom.

If he shuns investment, and his new appointee fails, meaning we've another season in this league after this one to look forward to,rock bottom will be the ceiling of his stock!! It will be catastrophic failure.

I just believe he's hanging onto the initial adoration he got. The fact the media were hanging onto his every word.
Beats being a humdrum insurance flogger .
He's adamant there's gold in them thar hills and he wants to dig it all out and hang out on the porch with the best looking sow in town.
I agree he is losing some of the goodwill he banked at the start and it's all his own fault. He has handled, the sacking, the takeover and new manager search unbelievably badly

You eventually may be right, but I think we have to see who the new manager is and where this takeover/investment ends up before making a judgement about it.
At the present,we don't know the outcome of either. It's my belief he was only prepared to give Ross a quarter of the season to achieve major improvement and I'd be surprised if any talks about future investment influenced him in that.

I doubt much else but making a quid occupied his every waking minute.
I'm not knocking him for that.
I just never copped that guff that 'he got us', he wanted the best for us, etc. etc
I acknowledge if the club does well he does well and that is as far as it goes.
Sadly at the top end football attracts the shadiest of the shady due to money.
This club may be on its uppers right now but it has some good assets, a good brand name and good cash flow.
I hope I am wrong. But something is just not adding up.
