So a decent win in the end, but we need to tone down on the penalties, when they scored a field goal to give away a penalty to make it first and goal on like the 5 yard line, that's just ridiculous and could have ended very badly.
A good win, defence back up to 4th in league in total yards allowed. Cousins with his usual great stat line against a weak defence. Hopefully this is the week where come the end of the season I can say I was wrong and Cousins got his confidence back and the Vikings have a deep play off run The 3-2 Eagles next week, lets see if Cousins puts in his usual performance against an over .500 team
Perhaps fortunately I shall probably miss the game as I'm gonna see the buccs v panthers at Tottenham. But have some faith, we can do it! Plus we beat the Eagles in phillie last year so it can be done... Still need to cut the penalties though
Despite the penalties the Vikings have managed to conceed: 12 21 14 16 10 In the respective games so far, which considering 3 of them are away is very respectable. The reason this team isn't 5-0 rests on the shoulders of the offense being 31st in passing despite having $58.5m this season invested in 4 players on the offense (Cousins, Thielen, Diggs and Rudolph). I still believe that the D and the running game is good enough to win 8 or 9 games, which probably won't be enough for a playoff spot. A couple of games where Cousins doesn't bottle it and they might sneak in, but I have basically zero faith that he is the man to take this team to the superbowl
No, he/the offense played well yesterday so credit where it is due. I'm not changing my opinion on just 1 game though. Next week is a must win away to the Lions, can't be 0-3 in the division and getting into the play offs. Will take a few more performances like the one yesterday from Kirk before I start to think he is the guy to lead this team to the Superbowl
I think I view this sport very differently tbh. Unless the Vikings are going to go all the way and make the NFC Champ game/Superbowl then I want to lose every game to give them the best chance to improve the team. A couple of years ago (the season where they got destroyed by Nick ****ing Foles in the NFC Champ game) I believed they had the team to do it, they obviously Vikingsed up in the usual way but they definitely had the pieces to make the Superbowl. I just don't think they do this year.
I get what you're saying but I very strongly disagree. As you say, we have very different views. Personally I feel the whole purpose of any sport is to gain enjoyment from watching it. Regardless of the outcome of the season, on any given Sunday, to me, a win is enjoyable. Whether we make the super bowl the nfc championship game or whatever. Thus even if like last season we didn't even make the play offs, there were enjoyable games, so I was always say win as many games as possible to give myself as many buzzing Sunday feelings as possible, my aim is the play offs each year, anything else is a bonus. Plus, low draft picks don't always correlate to success. Look at all the first round busts like Johnny Manziel... Or the late round or undrafted stars like Adam thielen. But I respect your opinion even I don't agree with it.
Seahawks won again but it will be a tough slog to the play-offs if the defence doesn't step up their game, can't just rely on Wilson's awesomeness to get them there. Still think the Saints are a shoo-in for the Super Bowl this year, only team to beat the 'hawks this season (so far!)
No mate I didn't,had to work, normally make at least one game a season down in London but had to miss this years Do you think the pats will win the Super Bowl again this year
They will take some stopping ! I'd like to see some closer games for them . Mind you there's been some great games this year ! I went to the Panthers game last week and enjoyed it ! Great stadium
Few of my mates who follow the raiders went to there game at Tottenham,,they also said it was a superb stadium Tbh I can't see anyone stopping the pats again this year
Wonder how many dodgy calls the packers will have in their favour? Anyhow, we've got a crucial game against the lions today. Sincerely hope both our defence and offense show up.
