I've had a play on the spread this week. I usually do a five team acca at what roughly equates to Even money for each pick. First up is Buffalo against the Bengals. The Bills have started 2-0, while the Cincinnati team have begun very poorly. I believe the home team can dominate and win by between 7 and 10 points to cover the -6.5 spread at odds of 21/20. Baltimore and Kansas have both started 2-0 but the Chiefs did well to give the Raiders a 10 pt start before shutting them out for the rest of the game in a 28-10 win. Patrick Mahomes continues to look very dangerous and I though Kansas -5.5 pts at Evs was the call. The Cardinals are not a powerhouse but they face a Panthers team on an 0-2 start and Cam Newton is reported to be missing the game tonight. In the circumstances I felt Arizona could eke out a field goal win at least to cover the 2.5 pt handicap at odds of 10/11. Tampa Bay are no world beaters but they got a win last week and in their loss they threw 3 interceptions, a stat that almost always spells defeat. If they can play turnover free football they can beat a decaying Giants team off to an 0-2 start. Tampa Bay -5pts at 10/11 was my pick here. Finally, the Falcons won last week but the Eagles were decimated by an incredible number of injuries in that game. Even then the Atlanta team only just put them away. The Colts lost Andrew Luck to retirement but I think they can play tough and be determined to make the most of what they have. I feel they can win, especially if Ty Hilton makes the line up. I like the Colts -1.5 at 10/11. Buffalo -6.5 Kansas -5.5 Arizona -2.5 Tampa Bay -5 Indianapolis -1.5 Accumulator Bet365 spreads and odds.
Not particularly, Cousins is fine against poor teams like the Raiders and that is the reason why his stat line always is so impressive. He is a flat track bully who regularly chokes in the bigger and pressure games. As I said before I see the Vikings an 8-8 or 9-7 team this year which really isn’t good enough. Based on how the rest of the NFC north are doing it won’t be enough for the division and that should be the aim with this roster as a minimum.
The whole team is ****, Cousins is easily the worst but I’m done with this season already. Hope they can go about 4-12, sack the coaches and GM and have a chance at one of the top QBs Oh look Cousins fumbles again
3rd and 35, 16 down, need about 20 yards for a possible field goal and he checks down for 10 yards. 84m went spent
I thought they where getting there 3/4 years ago . Went to see them at Wembley the other year and it was the best game that I've seen there ! Just don't ever seem to know what to do at QB
It is the major downside of the GM, he has some good qualities but he has no clue about QB or how to build an O Line, which is a pretty essential part of any team. They have wasted some pretty elite players primes/careers so at this moment I’d burn it all down, trade anyone you can get value for and re-build with a new coach and GM
It's not just the players. We had pretty effective teams in the past and I'm sure our team isn't that horrible on paper just when it comes to important games, our team doesn't show up. Or not in the first half at least, time and time again. Even when Case was our quarterback and we went 3-0, against the Eagles no one showed up. Something needs to change, and I think it's deeper than simply whoever is playing quarterback
I agree to an extent. All last year the Vikings would have players coming out after losses and saying stuff like "we didn't start fast enough" and they are saying the same **** this year. Not starting fast enough must be down to a preparation thing which falls on the coaches. A new QB wouldn't change that potentially, but it's not just the fact that Cousins is a serial loser, it is the fact that he is a serial loser and earning $84m, which directly hinders the rest of the team. Bringing in a QB on half that means there is more money to go out and get another couple of good players, who might help the team "start faster". It is all ifs and buts but the games I have seen this year it looks like the plan is to be very run heavy and rely on Cook for the majority of games. Why the **** would you agree to pay a QB (at the time) record breaking money if all you need him to do is hand the ball off 90% of the time? It is terrible management from the top and is why I think there should be a huge clearout this off season. Unfortunately I think we are stuck with Cousins for next year because the contract given to him is fully guaranteed, but doesn't stop us drafting a QB/finding one to take a look at next season anyway.
I'm sure cousins is probably tired of having less than a second to pass before he gets flattened due to our sieve like o line, plus it means he doesn't get to show his potential... Surely it would be in his interests to restructure his contract so we can bring in more protection? After all, what's the point in having so much money if you're too beat up both physically and mentally to enjoy it?
Saints and Chiefs look tasty but will probably have to get past the Patriots (again) in either the play-offs or the final.
Patriots and Saints can meet in the Superbowl but Patriots and Chief's can only meet in the AFC Championship game !
