Stewart Donald, the prophet, should have known that there would be no conclusion in 2 weeks time. :emoticon-0138-think
Again though, there's nothing in it that couldn't have been said weeks ago. They could then have straight batted it from thereon in with a still ongoing line.

Posts over the road are getting rather pathetic, Roger has posted warning.

ts the last thing I want to do, but I really am getting to the point where I wonder whether these forums should be shut down permanently.

We have that many petulant posters on here at the moment and the amount of abuse between posters, and libellous posts directed at owners/managers/players etc has gone off-scale over the last year and particularly in the last couple of months. Yes, feelings are high, but there is no excuse for a lot of what we are seeing in the "Football" forum.

Despite having a large team of moderators across several timezones it is becoming impossible to deal with this and only you, the members of the forums can make them go back on track.

Today alone, hundreds of posts have been removed (that is excluding the "takeover" thread which has been deleted) and several people have totted up enough warnings to be banned. That is not how I (and I am sure the majority of people here) want to see the forum running.

Can I ask everyone to have some restraint. Take a deep breath and think about what you are posting before you press the "Post" button. Remember you are responsible for what you post.

I can't help but wonder why he can't appear to see that they cause a lot of the problems?

Obvious favouritism and vendettas on their part, whilst ignoring the obvious 'wind up' merchants, will lead to frustration and irrational posts. It seems as though he must be in denial if he doesn't understand that!

He needs to clean out and then restock the stables.

I'm trying to wind down from of the craziest days I've ever had ...

.. by past experience that's saying something.

I've loved RTG and always tried to make a contribution with humour and robust debate.

Sadly, it's recently fallen to pieces because the Mods have their obvious favourites and stupid grudges.

Roger and the Mods are as much to blame as the clique they've allowed to run riot.

True. But all he said 2 weeks ago and 4 days ago that there would be an update. It dampened down the 'deal is off' rumours. He's now given an update that effectively says nothing is concluded so can't say anything. They've probably learnt to play a straight bat from now on though. Maybe that's why RR/ALS/BBC/etc have been told to stop speculating?

Tbh I'm not sure that it dampened anything. Rumours of it being off increased over that period imo. Agree that the straight bat has turned up later than it should have.

The mods are the reason RTG has failed. Always said that. They inevitably determine if a forum thrives or turns to ****. RIP RTG

So anyone have the slightest clue of the intentions of any investors? Are we currently begging for a small donation or are there folks out there itching to bring about big plans but being held back?

Dont believe we will ever get a straight answer to this.
It amuses me that short still has many detractors and gets pelters. His crime, not being as vigilant as he could have and letting his managers manage ( albeit pretty poorly in most instances ) .
He dropped any where between 150 and 200m during his tenure after taking over a club in worse financial condition than Donald did. But he had the readies to sort it. He left the club debt free. He deserves a statue imo.
I reckon sd and cm are now caught in the headlights. It was all fun when they were tweeting and getting selfies and painting faded stadium seats.
Normal service has resumed. The important thing, success on the pitch has evaporated once again. They have presided over this evaporation since xmas and have probably welded the axe too late.
I reckon sd likes the limelight and sees the potential of the club and doesnt like the idea of being a flunky.
He used virtually nothing of his own ( by business standards ) modest stash and stands to make a pretty penny. But he appears to want the money and retain centre stage.
Is it a coincidence that both us based consortiums have withdrawn when almost on the cusp?

How have you been hoodwinked? Is it because you believe everything that's put on a forum. Donald and Methven haven't actually said a great deal. People have been second guessing from day one and everyone's expectations were through the roof.

How about for once I believed my football club were gonna be a force forgive me for being deluded.
