I received an unsolicited, and anonymous text message, 45 minutes ago, and asked if I could post it on here. I received no response whatsoever so will post it. Unless it's some idiot who's found my mobile number I'd think it's genuine. I have a friend, in Nottingham CID, checking the number.

Hmmm someone on a wind up that I reckon mate. If it was indeed MSD they wouldn't bother telling you (no offence by that) just release a press statement saying moving on and that would be it.

Seems a long shot they’d randomly message you themselves directly mate, even though I don’t doubt your contacts etc, and know you’re genuine in all this.

So someone from MSD has somehow got your number and is personally texting you to say they're not interested in buying Sunderland? I'm not saying you didn't get a text, but why would they text you?

That is obviously someone who has managed to get your number. No way any respectable business people let alone the calibre of MSD etc would do that.
