And that may be the sticking point with the proposed new owners, maybe they have seen that and would rather take the "keep the distance" approach?

I hope they don't as the fan engagement has been very positive (in my opinion) but you only have to look at the real big clubs to see that its unheard of with them
And if we believe that we are and should be a big club I dont believe donald is the man to take us forward.
Darragh Anthony gets away with it but posh are as big as they are ever going to be.
The likes of levy and Woodward would never dream of of doing the stunts donald gets up to.
It worked at the beginning but we have and always were going to outgrow his sort of ceo/owner.
I want a professional hard head not someone who tries to be all things to all people and gets tangled up in areas he should be nowhere near.

I believe it will be SD setting the deadline. All the pointers are that MSD have been through everything over and over again by the sounds of it. The staff will be getting extremely tired of it now. Like a never ending audit.

Plus he's not allowed to communicate, the fans are getting restless and are on the brink of a Steve Bruce type get out of our club moment , and we should by now be planning January's window. Likely all on hold.

It will SD giving the deadline as he is watching the club he has rebuilt and owns fall apart around him while we all wait on MSD ****ing about. Which they clearly are now.

I don't think SD has that much of a bargaining position to be setting deadlines in my humble opinion

Is that last part speculation?

Is that last part speculation?

It has to be speculation

Unless we know someone in the same room as these guys who are negotiating who has a big gob... we are left with snippets of information that filter down through 2 or 3 people.
No-one really knows where we are, i'm pretty sure MSD are not that clumsy that they will let too much filter out, or if they do, it what they want to get out into the public domain.
The ONLY itk person who has any credibility is Smug, whose friends seem to have the ear of some of the protagonists. Other than that...pure speculation

Part of what I've said is speculation based on actual facts from genuine people.

I'm praying this concluded tomorrow and is announced by the weekend.

But, rest assured, if I'm right I don't want any praise or likes, I'm just passing on info in good faith. I don't know any of the people directly but people who do won't post anything because they know they'll either be savaged by the SMB Inquisition, even if they post on here, or bombarded with follow up questions and pm's.

Believe me boys & girls, however tired you are of all this there's someone out there who's 10 times worse.

I think Donald will be gone and won't get a say at all tbh
Me too. His tweet last weekend about looking forward to all the apologies afterwards, in response to those who were saying he was only looking out for himself, hints that he wasn't getting all he personally wanted out of the deal but was putting the club first.
I suspect he wanted to "Sell and Stay". Now i think its just "Sell"
Disclaimer : I could be wrong.

So you believe sd is wearing the white hat and mad the black hats?
Tbf sd has hardly rebuilt us. He has cropped some high earners and got shot of some overheads.
We were, prior to his arrival and since getting stupidly large crowds given the 5hite most managers have served up and continue to serve.
Short got rid of the debt and left the parachute payments. Donald is the cat with the cream and he looks like he will walk away many many times his original investment ( not bad for under 18 mths )

Mmm.....not sure of what you say mate. It's likely there won't be a deadline as you describe it, and I would be very surprised if there was, that SD would be setting it. More likely, it's points at issue which need to be resolved. This could revolve around the future. If I was SD,I'd be thinking..." I've introduced and facilitated these fellas to a deal where they might make an awful lot of money if they play it right....which I believe they will....so,I would very much like a share of the ultimate proceeds should they succeed". ?? Possible?? If so,can't blame him.
No-one involved with this will care one bit if the staff are getting tired. My guess is that all the points of audit have been examined and no more remain.....that's done.
It's personal now is my guess!

Just to clarify yesterday's message.

This is a nightmare.

I woke up to great news from someone reliable.

Now, I've had an email detailing the problems and possible outcomes.

Then a WhatsApp saying it's off and an alternative being sought.

If the messages had come through in reverse order I'd have been buzzing.

Which idiot invented the Internet ffs <doh>

These are 3 different people which indicates what I'm having to sift through. As you can see I only attach any credibility to the first message. This is in response to the clowns, on RTG, constantly claiming I told everyone the deal was off. Apparently you all had a major meltdown which, I have to say, I must have missed.

Perhaps someone could copy all of this message and put them straight.

You won't get any praise from me on here. What you will get is a pint or two over a chat if you PM me when all this is done and dusted,...it would be my pleasure, no matter how this all turns out!
I'm in the autumn of my years, but I've spent many a happy hour with Leadgate lads, and would love to do so again!

If anything comes from this takeover it will be the death of ITK information being mentioned on Message Boards.

Which is quite a sad state of affairs
I honestly don't know why people bother mate. It isn't worth it, I would just PM a few people who I could trust and that Confucius fella should be top of everyone's list. That's what he is on Tinder

Quite possibly. Main thing is people hearing it was off, and then hearing it might be back on. It already seems to have gone on longer than many expected, and whatever the fanzines say I'm pretty sure they were told it was done. We know the Americans hold all the cards; Donald will struggle to afford to keep us, especially if we don't go up (this is now looking more likely and has further strengthened their hand). Add to that the excitement among the fans contrasted with the growing anger about performances, if this breaks down for whatever reason both sides know Donald will cop a lot of stick and it might make him very keen to get out.

So he, in my opinion, absolutely needs this. He won't be ****ing about but I feel that someone has moved the goal posts, hence it nearly being off. That can only be them, and its kind of in line with how ruthlessly I imagine these kind of people operate. If they wanted to turn the screw I imagine they could, and Donald would be in a tight spot. Ultimately I think he'd have to accept to get it done, but I don't think he'd like it. That's a lot of speculation, what kind of concessions they might want I don't know (a higher percentage than Donald wanted to sell, better payment terms etc, who knows) but it wouldn't surprise me, and I doubt he'd want to work with them afterwards

"hence it nearly being off"

Really? When?
