Was nothing really to check for VAR, kicked from behind in the box = stonewall pen all day
Mane felt his ankle being grazed and threw himself to the floor, he was not impeded whatsoever and could have easily carried on with his action. But he chose to dive because he knew the referee probably could not wait to give a penalty, the Mousers have been rewarded for diving many times before, so there is no wonder your team is full of habitual diving cheats, every time they dive they are gifted a penalty or free kick, so they will just keep on doing it.

Calm down<doh>
I've already agreed he bought the pen. I'm saying, so what? <laugh>

If you want me to be outraged I'm not, it doesn't outrage me unless it's against my team, dark arts whatever you want to call it is a massive part of the game and has been since the birth of the Premier league and before.

I'm. Just chatting here I'm not getting into any arguments but I don't get the outrage really it's nothing new. <cheers>

I stated facts. You just don't like them.
Let's take a look at a penalty shout that we had against Leicester for comparison:

Hmm...
Michael Oliverpool books Son for diving after he is fouled, if that`s a Pool player he is absolutely blowing for a penalty and booking Maguire.

What do you think could be done about this corruption if true?

I would be happier to have European refs but I’m not sure how long it would be before they succumbed to the pressure/orders given them.
That's the "pressure" sorted maybe, deffo a start tbh:emoticon-0148-yes:
Then I suppose you'd have to go for the "orders" which is the FA? How and what do you replace them with?

I'm asking because I genuinely think this should be the conversation we're all having rather than bashing players for sometimes doing the dirty to get a result or cement a victory if the refs get conned, or var isn't used to overrule them properly. because during the season will happen to all teams, too many dodgy calls from refs, even punishments handed out are inconsistent to say the least.

I have no idea btw <laugh>

Third sentence is true, I respect teams that do it the 'the right way'.

Second sentence is untrue, you lot are unbearable, even you bruv and I like you <laugh>

That then leads to saying I disagree with the first, when City win **** no one hears much of it as they've barely got any fans to rub it in. When you lot win ****, even Taliban in their caves in Afghanistan wouldn't be able to escape one of your lot boasting about it!

I am not the one (or one of many) who see ref conspiracies against my team everywhere :emoticon-0100-smile
I don’t think there is a conspiracy either. But in every sport referees subconsciously favour the top teams.
Also there is some evidence that teams in red are favoured, admittedly from a completely different sport.

Sorry sucky but when the supposedly 'top official in the country' comes out and acknowledges that he actively sought to drive the narrative of a certain agenda in a crunch match between us and Chelsea barely 3 years ago, you cannot blame us for donning the tin foil hats the more we see evidence of various narratives at play throughout a season. Does it surprise me that liverpool are awarded so many penalties? No, as a team such as yours will spend a far higher than average length of time in and around the opposition box. But when other teams are not awarded penalties for identical incidents or worse, we are more than entitled to criticise the absymal standard of officialdom in this country. Clattenburg's stated agenda was that he purposefully allowed the match to flow in such a way that it would be more entertaining for the neutral - the ultimate end goal of which was of course for Leicester to complete their fairytale title win so that the nation could ogle at Gary Lineker in his cottons. And when there is such a narrative - justifiably so by the way - surrounding Pool winning the title after 3 decades of waiting, and when so many high profile pundits and co-commentators are ex-Pool players that only adds to the narrative's tidal wave.

Am I claiming that officials are being instructed/deciding to treat Pool slightly differently as a result? No.
But would it surprise me if we woke up tomorrow to a panorama scoop confirming that to be true? Again, no.
And it is Mark Clattenburg's fault that I feel that way.

Summin about the chavs 3 years ago and dodgy refs?

Too early for tme to read all that tbh. Can we just say Liverpool gifted all wins spurs not and get it over with?
