This is not City levels though

For me City levels is going toe to toe with Barca for the signature of Mbappe or something of that ilk.

Dybala should be attainable for us for where we are . Better planning, a lack of, and onto our targets at a snails pace like we are not really commited is our problem. Of course any kind of money involved is a problem for our chairman but really he's in the wrong game if he's baulking at the Dybala deal in today's climate of which we are bang in the centre of due to our new found status.

The club needs to really get it's off field **** together we are a shambles.

I was, I totally get what you guys are going through as we have already trodden that path*

*the same **** was said to us by owners:
    - new stadium won’t affect the availability of money to buy new players, and then you don’t buy anyone as you have no money.
    - new stadium will enable us to compete with the biggest clubs (who don’t have £500m to repay to banks), and then you still don’t.
    - we don’t need to sell our best players to balance the books, then you do sell or they run there contract down as told to by agents so that you get **** all for them.

as I have said in previous posts I have family and friends that are Spurs fans so I don’t have that “hate” vibe zoo yourselves - but it doesn’t mean I can’t take the piss and likewise.

i know some of your posters think that Lewis & Levy have a masterplan, but I would be worried if it’s all based around getting a NFL franchise

It shouldn't, as our bloody bar tabs virtually pay off the seasonal stadium payments. £800k a game, apparently.
Lob a few eggball games in and a gig or two and we should be completely unaffected, at worst.
We still won't be able to compete financially with the likes of the Manc clubs, though. We need to do things differently.

Didn't the Dybala deal fall through because of third party ownership of his image rights unexpectedly dragging it out?

Less dragging it out, more adding a significant chunk to the fee (although fair play to Juve, they were trying to sort this out to get the deal completed)

The image rights and agent fees hadn’t been agreed but Juve definitely pulled the plug before we could complete it, citing failure to find a suitable replacement as the reason.

Hopefully we can go back in in Jan, by all accounts it seemed he wanted in, we agreed fee and terms, so in theory it shouldn’t take long if Juve play ball.

I'm not too sure haven't followed them

RecKOn 50 mil plus Eriksen should do it in January if we want it

Here's one for the air traffic controllers, but it does paint somewhat of a picture

please log in to view this image

Aurier: 7.5 progressive runs and 7 tackles
Rose: 12.5 progressive runs and 5 tackles
KWP: 12.5 progressive runs and 4 tackles

Probably best not look at where Pereira is on the chart, considering we signed Aurier instead of him...

If anyone's looking for them, I moved a bunch of posts onto the stadium thread, as this one got significantly diverted.

Why are Solly March and Adama Traore on there? Also, who is the invisible man floating next to J. Ward?

The Leicester full backs are even more progressive than the much vaunted Liverpool ones.
Wan-Bissaka and Young are obviously confused which way they are playing.

More stats which suggest our lack of width

The left flank in particular is worrying, as it genuinely looks like we're lining up with anyone on that flank at all

    Yup

It does seem to indicate what the pass map for the Brighton game suggested, too, namely that whoever it is that's supposed to be the out ball for the left flank is not in position to receive a pass so we end up either passing inside or backwards

As much as I hate THE GODDAMN BASTARD DIAMOND, based on these diagrams and the aforementioned pass map it's starting to make it look like it doesn't matter what formation we play if the full backs aren't getting forward enough to provide width and/or support

What the **** are Sheffield Utd doing and why can't Norwich or Bournemouth get out of their own half?

Bournemouth and Brighton have pretty similar charts, which looks like their game is about keeping the ball until Wilson/Connolly makes a break and the ball is played through. The one I don't get is Everton, which makes their team look so right wing they may as well have Jacob Rees-Mogg manage them

If I were to make a guess, our chart should be looking closer to The Sheikh Mansour Team's or Saltypool's, given how centralised their play becomes when it transitions from midfield to the final third - but the issue is that their charts also show they have wide options in the opponent's half, options coming from their full backs while our full backs appear to vanish off the face of the earth outside of the defensive third, so either they're drifting inside and making us even more narrow or the ghost of Jacques Santini and his whistle has made them terrified of being seen in the opponent's half

    IMHO Pochettino is gone.

Dunno if there is irreparable antagonism between him and squad members,
and/or between squad members, but the season compass does not lie.

One could be lenient, and contend that an exciting new MF regime is coming
when all of NDombele + Lo Celso + Sessignon are fully PL fit.
However, if so that would dictate PRAGMA over DOGMA until that time,
and the "diamond of doom" is nothing but the latter.

The question ENIC have to ask, is at what point in the season are both the
PL and CL campaigns unrecoverable, and the trigger has to be pulled ...
