Multi 2-1 was a few seasons in the making, Webber constantly tried to inore stating his opinion on TV that he would always go for the win, which everyone thought was great. but when Vettel finally decided to follow that advice and ignore one to take then win (which was after he'd compained about Webbers pace and the team had told him all race to bide his time, maintain position and he'd be given the chance later, and then wasn't) to ignore team orders, he cried and whined like a little bitch, and everyone said how ungreat it was. Webber's greatest talent was using the media to twist everything and put pressure on Vettel, the whole of wing-gate was utter bullshit to put Seb under pressure. I remember Brundle talking about the front-wing and Webber and Vettels thoughts on it before it broke. Seeing the way he whined and cried to the media afterwards, like he always did, and knowing their feelings toward the new wing, is what triggered me from not really caring to disliking him immensely, because he was a machiavellian, two-faced hypocrite.
As to Ferrari, they were absolute dog-**** when he went there, 2 podiums in the previous season. For the last 3 seasons they've been the only credible challenge to Merc, CLC has only just joined so doubtful he had anyhing to do with that. As to the upgrades, well, since they've been on the car I'd say Vettel has had the better race pace.

Your memory is better than mine but then I was slightly less engaged with the sport then, I travelled a lot. Webber was not the greatest driver but I don't have a recollection of him agreeing team orders and then reneging on them although there undoubtedly were some dodgy moments.
I agree le Clerc needed to be closer to justify being given the position back and as such I can understand Vettels retort.
That is what makes me wonder why Ferrari did what they did and made me consider there may be reasons we are unaware of, e.g. has le Clerc given some insights into the aero that Vettel never gave. Something happened for Ferrari to have some loyalty to Le Clerc in Russia. My logic is simple, Vettel has spun and spun and spun which indicates he didn't understand the car. Whereas, Le Clerc drove through the same issues which suggests he had a better feel for the car and therefore may be better placed to give the necessary input. If so, did this drive Ferrari's loyalty? Accept I could be wrong. It could simply be the team have got right behind Le Clerc as he has lifted their morale.
I also read the body language, Vettel regularly looks off to the left when interviewed, Initially I thought he may be talking to all the journalists in front of him but he looks too far off for that to be the case. Something doesn't sit right with him. I know I sound negative, just trying to interpret beyond the public image.

Not a great race but always good to have some controversy. It looked to me like Ferrari expected their cars to pull away from Lewis on his medium tyres so they could do the swap early, but he kept with them. Vettel couldn't really let Charlie through without risk so was correct to stay in front, although if Lewis had been further back I think he may still have held position. Lewis being able to take advantage was mainly down to the pressure he put on them so deserves some credit even if he did get lucky. Valtteri was poor again.

It seemed to most people at the beginning of the year that Vettel/Leclerc was as feisty combination. They'll have to drop one of them soon and it's a no-brainer which one.

I feel sorry for Vettel here, it's one thing to have team orders but to ask one driver to actively slow down to let another past is a bit much.

Vettel seemed the faster on race pace, maybe he had less of a quali setup.

It was ridiculous to ask him to give Charlie the lead at that point... Then they hung him out to dry by leaving him out and a slower stop. He should tell em to stuff it tbh.

I have no problem with team orders... When they make sense.

he seemed to have better race pace at Singapore too, I wonder if the upgrade has given him some confidence, he certainly seemed pretty upbeat for a guy who had been purposefully undercut by his team and broken down. I wonder if the car has had some stability problems, (mainly because the Ascari spin was so weird, I've seen plenty of people spin on the way out of ascari, but he's the only one I can remember spinning entering it.)
I hope he's got his mojo bacl, I'd like to see some racing, and the more on form drivers we have the better chance for it.

So far as I'm aware, most people - and certainly most here in not606 - seem to agree the BBC's F1 journalist is rather lame; but I very much doubt he'd ever stoop to embarrassing himself in the manner of your comment.

What a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Probably won't delete the posts above as it's an example as what not to be said in a forum and in general in life.

It was probably their best bet of getting a win by sacrificing the 1-2
