Leicester is definitely the most likely, not just because of their current standing, but because they have a number of top-four-quality players. Tielemans seems to have found his footing a bit, and Maddison is a star...the only thing they're really lacking at the moment is another pure goalscorer, and they might regret going after Ayoze Perez rather than literally anyone other than Ayoze Perez.
What about ManU?….only one point above us after 6 games (and we're not exactly flying). OGS honeymoon period well and truly over.
Maybe, though I'm not quite ready to believe just yet. It's still the same defense that shipped goals so generously last year that they qualified for charitable status.
Yeah, they might have sorted it. Three of those were Villa, Norwich and Newport, though, three clubs unlikely to be mistaken for Bayern, Barca and Juventus.
Newport fair enough. But a clean sheet against any Prem opposition is good. Didn't Norwich just beat Man City last week? Add Man Utd back to list and it looks impressive. Also, Bayern, Barca and Juve don't play in the Prem, by the way.
Silver lining being that it keeps SU just a point above us. Liverpool are away and gone already, we ain't catching 'em.
I'm actually more impressed by this Leicester side than their title winning side. Yes it doesn't have the two world class players of Kante and Mahrez, but arguably every member of their current back four is better than their 2015/16 counterparts, and their midfield is packed with attacking (young) talent. And Vardy is still Vardy. Obviously this current side have City and Liverpool to contend with - in 2015/16, all the big boys were somewhat off it - but they really do have an excellent shot of top four. Maybe even third place. Rodgers is doing a fine, fine job.
