Safire project isn't looking particularly exciting. We already have plenty of examples of high powered plasma generation.

I will read the research, including the front of the thunderbolts introduction that confirms that gravity and thermodynamic formula and modeling works well at planetary level and therefore disputes the claims of Venus having a near miss with earth within the last few thousand years.

I am sorry Looney Leftie your comment is so stupid it is beyond belief. You and your friend Piskie are the living examples of dumbing down. The 60 year old book IS the evidence. It is the huge body of work carried out by Velikovsky Scientists have never all agreed about this work, for sure the establishment dismisses it but there have always been a number of scientists interested enough to look into it. Contrary to your beliefs science is often reluctant to give up it's 'held' views when new evidence comes along so it's not uncommon. What's interesting is that Velikovsky's work is still the subject of debate in scientific circles so the answer to the questions of whether it is right or wrong is not complete. You and Piskie may or may not be interested in this but to think your opinion on this matters is frankly pathetic. Equally your opinion on brain surgery is of no interest unless I have misjudged the fact that you are surgeons.

A book isn't the evidence,
It is an opinion piece with cherry picked examples to fit the narrative.
That is true regardless of the book.

Which is why I'm looking for what it is that convinced HIAG he is right.

The fact that, on its publication, some of the World's most eminent scientists of the day demanded its removal from the scientific press (a modern day book burning, as some have referred to it) tells me all I need to know about how relevant Velikovsky's work is, and remains.

Many attempts have been made by the mainstream to discredit Velikovsky and all have failed.

I don’t think science has an agenda as such, it’s just a method of trying to understand the universe in a way that can be tested and agreed upon.

As for dinosaurs, you’re never going to get proof it one in the flesh, because they don’t exist anymore (other than crocs etc) so fossil records are the best evidence we have that they did exist. Sure there’s some creative license in what colour they actually were etc. But I think that’s illustrative rather than anything else.

As for religion. I think faith is a great thing for helping people to understand their place in the world, their connection to the planet and the other people on it, and their purpose of being here. I don’t actually think it does a great job of explaining how everything was conceived and came into being. Science hasn’t got the answers either, but it works to try and understand that, and readily admits that currently it can’t.

I think that man has questioned why am I here from the beginning which is a natural progression. Religion for some people satisfies that. I think most people sort that side out for themselves if they are free thinking.

For something to be held as true you must be able to prove it and show it is the most likely scenario.

This is like claiming climate change doesn't exist because we knew less about it 60 years ago.

Gravity, relativity and the heliocentric model didn't go down well when first proposed either, but subsequent research showed them to be largely true. So far I've seen nothing offered of a similar nature.

Books are a way of summarising the evidence. Properly researched books provide a bibliography to other works and scientific papers that corroborate their summaries.

That's all there is to it. There is no right, no wrong, merely the courage to challenge the Establishment and ask the questions that people like you and Pixie say have already been answered.

Books are supported by subsequent research and analysis.

Take the origin of species. It wasn't taken as gospel, it was debated and researched until concensus agreed. The facts supported the claim and did not offer a viable alternative.

Take the book you refer to, where is the evidence to support it?
Missing, because even he admitted it could not be replicated or modelled.
