These things obviously take time and don't blame you jumping the gun at all. I know I certainly would. I should have kept stum to mag mates and colleagues to avoid the ridicule "I thought you said it was done"Very kind mate.
Although I've done my best to make it all fun, with a few embellishments and teasers, I've tried to post the actual info without breaking confidences. I've had to change locations, positions, etc, to protect people, but some choose to ignore that and discect every comma and apostrophe.
I was right about the facts I posted such as the deal being agreed, heads rolling, an ambassador being appointed, plane flights, etc.
My guesses on the announcement date were wrong but that applies to the media, fanzines, etc. Information was leaked, people like me posted it and then radio silence came down.
But, as I've always maintained, the deal is done and it'll be life changing ...
... we've suffered recently but the good time are here![]()
Had you been another poster I wouldn't have been so adamant it was going ahead.
Lad at work is relatively new to RTG and when you had first started posting the rumours he asked how believable it was. When he said it was yourself I was like aye he worked for the rich and famous and is about as far from a gobshite as you get.
