These things obviously take time and don't blame you jumping the gun at all. I know I certainly would. I should have kept stum to mag mates and colleagues to avoid the ridicule "I thought you said it was done"

Had you been another poster I wouldn't have been so adamant it was going ahead.

Lad at work is relatively new to RTG and when you had first started posting the rumours he asked how believable it was. When he said it was yourself I was like aye he worked for the rich and famous and is about as far from a gobshite as you get.

Isn't it a bit weird that they've appointed this O'Brien bloke in a capacity at the club, the same one that led a rival takeover bid for the club to Donald and Methven. Seems strange to be fair...

Has some ill feeling about this takeover now.

Given that Pancho posted twice what I posted earlier then it should be straight forward for someone on RTG to search and find his account of what happened.

    Good hunting.

Pancho posted it twice on RTG for anyone to read.

I didn't suggest that you could, but surely your mate Discopants? would do if you asked him.

If he’s a local business man and a fan I think it’s a potentially good move

Who's the lad that claims to be a big mate of yours?

I thought it was Discopants but if I'm wrong his user name is very similar to that.

What's the old adage "keep your friends close but your enemies closer"
    Or
"better to be on the inside pissing out than on the outside pissing in"

I feel that neither strictly apply in this case but it certainly looks like a good move to get people onside and everyone moving in the right direction.
Or am I just reading too much into this and I'm just a conspiracy theorist :emoticon-0100-smile
If Gordon Armstrong gets a position in the club that may prove my theory :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I've been following this takeover far too long

Excuse me, but I think I've missed a bit here. Who appointed this O'Brien fella? Was it SD and co or the Dell Boys. Do we know ? Is he actually on board now?

Thinking about it the new owners-to-be must have been involved in his selection and or appointment.

There's very little, to zero, chance that Donald would appoint O'Brien to the board.
