Personally I thought Mclean was outstanding. He actually won most of his headers today and made some great runs, my MoM. Waghorn had a goal wrongly disallowed but other than that he was very average. He showed glimpses of a great player and I heard great reviews of his last performance, so maybe he was having an off day.

funny how people see things different, i really liked the look of waghorn, thought he looked skillful and a threat...i appreciate mcleans running, but he went for a cross and headed it back to the guy who crossed it when going for goal, sums him up for me, id like to see what fryatt -waghorn can do..

First half was enjoyable, second half not so much. Not exactly the dominant win people are making it out to be though.

Portsmouth were never going to score because of their piss poor tactics.

I also like how NP made sure his mate got his appearance fee. Pathetic, pointless substitution.

Poor, very poor.

Perry,

You make a valid point but then have to spoil it with a stupid comment .

I thought Barmby coming on was pointless and thought so even more when Ben Haim skipped past him
and left him in his wake .
Maybe it is time for Barmby to step aside , his cameo roles aren't working.
However , to say he was put on to get his appearance fee makes you look a bit silly .

Did anyone have a good view of the sending off?
Varney was asking for it all game but from the east stand it was hard to see how bad his tackle was?

You're a sad, attention seeking joke.
A few weeks ago you said you would give NP credit when we started winning at home. We have and you haven't - which makes you a liar.
As for Fryatt. NP has had him on the bench for two games proving that he doesn't show him favouritism then you criticise bringing him on as a late substitute.
You want to grow up.

Perhaps Portsmouth played only as well as City let them? Running the clock down bringing Barmby on and getting an increasingly angry Brady away from Ben El Thug seemed pretty smart to me!

When we've won more than four at home I will.

As for Fryatt... I never mentioned him. Tool.

People need to be realistic, Portsmouth are a strong, physical and experienced team. Our lads are young and learning. To beat Pompey today is a big result, they ran West Ham close last week and Cotterill can be quoted as saying Hull City are not going to be as tough as West Ham. Pompey will be a top 10 side this year.

Great result, great performance

No you won't because you're a sulking child.

You didn't mention anyone by name so it's hard to keep up with your latest scapegoat "******"

I'm with you, I thought Waggy was excellent and I'd like to see him and Fryatt starting together.

Percy, you're doing a great job of making yourself look an even bigger tit than most people already think you are. Congratulations. <ok>

Waggy was not as sharp as i hoped he would be but after game time i think he will be. But i agree one with one thing their defenders hated playing against him he moved into the right areas, went out wide at time and created space for others to run into in the middle.

Don't believe anything anyone says on Phone-ins on Blunderside.....It is run by numpty's predominately for numpty's to give us their pearls of wisdom..FFS

That's a couple who have said that they'd like to see Waghorn and Fryatt starting now and I still don't understand why. McLean has somewhat turned a corner and keeps getting better after every appearance. I don't see why you'd have him dropped in favour of a striker who has been out of form this season. Just my opinion.
