Brilliant JoeThe Ascona was a Mark 1 Cavalier, badged as Opel obviously. The Manta was classed as Opel's elite sports coupe but Vauxhall had a car around the time that was based off the brilliant Opel Monza and the Manta..

haha.. Vauxhall didn't do a badged version of the Manta, they were always the alternative to the Capri originally. The Manta 400 was one successful rally car..![]()

One of my favourite videos.
Funny moment at 2:10 could have been a really bad one.

it was deffo an opel but looked like a "cool" version of a Cavalier .The Monza was a big engined coupe, Vauxhall launched the Carlton and Senator off the back of it. I think your girl could have had a Mark 1 Cavalier coupe GSI, which was loosely based off the Opel Manta.. Good taste she had like, you carrying a torch for this lady?
