Can they recall him before the season ends?

They’ve got Haller as a clear number one but also signed the guy who played in the cup and Hernandez. They also play Antonio up front at times. Think it’s unlikely- as I understand it if we paid a loan fee they can’t but I’m mostly taking that view from an old Football Manager game I think.

My relatives who are West Ham season ticket holders think he's ****, so hopefully the coaches think the same and won't want him back.

Weird isn't it? Looking at him for us so far you have to wonder why he didn't get a kick for West Ham.

Like I say, it seems he simply wasn't rated.
It happens sometimes doesn't it? A player struggles at one club and then flourishes at another.
Maybe the Premier League was too high a level?

True, football rarely makes any sense. Glad he seems to have found his feet with us. If he keeps it up all season it'll be gutting to lose him at at the end. Long way to go still but not going to argue with 5 goals in 6 games.

There are loads of players who are (or were) the bee's knees in the championship who don't quite make the cut in the PL aren't there. Rhoades an example that comes to mind. Dare I say Wells and Austin too as examples closer to home?

Must confess that I was slightly sceptical when Hugill signed as his goal record isn't exactly prolific, although I thought he'd be an okay target man, and I'm delighted to be proven wrong so far!

He looks decent at Championship level, but I'm not sure he could cut it in the Premier.
He's looked distinctly innocuous when playing as a lone striker but with Wells alongside or at least in close support he is a different proposition. MW seems to be fitting a system around him rather than vice versa but he wouldn't have had that luxury as a bit part player at West Ham.

If he has a good season with us the Hammers may sell him, we might just be in a better financial position next season. If he fits our system it would be a good deal for all concerned...

As competitive as the championship undoubtedly is, the Premier League is quite a step up.

I don’t know whether it was to do with the positioning of the microphone but, watching those highlights, the Rs fans gave as loud a cheer for our goals as Wednesday got for their penalty, if not louder.

Anybody know how many Rs were there?

Often the case at loftus road, microphone location surely.

Amazing to see that huge away end and remember it's history, both tragic and euphoric.
