I said... "Well we were very, very, very lucky there. Haven't felt that stressed watching a game for a long time. Feb/March-time Saints would have beaten that Brighton team today even with 11 men. Really weird how much we have digressed since then. Not sure about Danso. Benefit of the doubt because out of position. Adams was disappointing, and we shouldn't be playing him in away games, especially if that means keeping Boufal on the bench, who did more in twenty minutes than Adams in three games. We really have to try Redmond and Boufal either side of Ings. Djenepo is gonna be the wildest of wild cards. Capable of brilliant stuff, but also gonna make a ****-load of errors. Feel bad for Brighton; they were the far better team today."
Disagree almost entirely with that. Brighton better team in first half no doubt. But we were the better side 2nd half. Certainly we created the better chances.
Now that is a post you don't see very often, especially from a Saints supporter. You're not Tom 24 are you?
Fair enough. We see different games. I thought we were better in the last 20 or so only, when they were tiring and chasing for the equaliser. But with eleven men they would have comfortably beaten us today. We were poor.
I'm afraid the clapping off of a bloke who's just tried to break a leg/back/skull of someone, then booing players just because they'd been fouled means I'm in full gloat mode. Brighton under Potter are a far different prospect now, but the fans, the fans, sigh. Adams looked knackered after 15mins mind.
