Well good start at least

All the way into double figures for no loss

We will need to bat a bit better than the first innings to win this...

Wish I was there today and not yesterday. A truly horrible day that had the atmosphere sucked out of it by the shambles of a batting performance.

stokes has now scored 1 off 32 deliveries, making his innings the fourth longest of the game by an england player.

another 23 overs and he could match his first innings score! survival is key right now, of course.

Well, I never saw that coming, I even feel for Roy, he was out to an absolute beauty. Ten overs or so until the new ball, if they can get past that with just 3 down I'll start to believe!

But a very valuable innings in the context of the match. Keep your wicket in tact and all England have to do now tomorrow is treat it like a one day game where we need a bit over 200 to win with seven wickets in hand. Or just over three an over. As no-one took me up on my offer of buying my ticket for Sunday when I offered it yesterday I'll just have to use it myself.

Arf

Set up nicely now, and few could have expected that after yesterday's shower of ****.

Will the real England please turn up tomorrow?

Thats how to bat in a test match, against some fantastic bowling. Just find a way of hanging on in, until you hope it gets easier. I do feel it's gonna have to get a lot easier though to have a sniff. Problem is their bowling attack gives **** all away. One early wicket is probably Ashes gone, and Root has a horrible habit of getting out early the next morning when appearing well set. I still dont think we'll get 250.
We've got Buttler playing for his test future, Jonny and Woakes massively under pressure. Is that a good thing??
