According to the "GERS" figures Scotland spent £3.3 billion on defence. That equates the 5.3% of GDP the highest in the developed world. Double that of Israel and 8 times that of Ireland.

When you going to wake up dafty. These figures are fantasy based on nothing but wishful thinking and extremely flawed accounting.

Celtic have come under intense scrutiny since the Cluj loss but Lennon insisted he has been backed by his board.

He said: “Of course. We are working to bring in three or four players in before the window shuts.

“Again, we are over-analysing the recruitment side of things.

“Some of it has worked, some of it hasn’t worked and that happens in football.

“It’s not the be all and end all. At the end of the day I think if we go out tonight, play well and put on a positive performance things change very quickly again.

“That’s my whole concentration at the minute, while obviously we are working away in the background trying to get players in to add to what we already have.

“The game and the team and the players and the manager get analysed to the nth degree these days.

“You could be doing eight out 10 things right and they will focus on the two things that maybe aren’t right.

“That’s just the nature of where we are now, the game is analysed to death now by everybody.

“It’s a game we all love and they’re entitled to their opinion and to their judgement on things and that’s fine. It’s not easy to hear, sometimes, but you have to respect it.”

Gerrard has slowly been building a squad, two players for every position

Lennon knew what was needed in terms of squad since he took over in Feb and Celtic will be going in to this euro to without a RB, the Arab Jew is injured, without first choice CB, Ajer is injured, and possibly playing two players that look average.

He was cheap, a yes man who was desperate for the job ...he's back to basics when others use data and sports science.

Lawell has been CEO for 11 years ...most businesses have a CEO for 3 to 5 years.

They change to keep strategy fresh ... Celtic focus is to try and stay 1 step ahead of rangers . Tinpot!

Lennon is just natural progression for CFC. Brendan Rodgers was an aberration, a panic measure because championship Rangers put them out of the Scottish cup.

Normal service has resumed.

But even Rodgers was short changed. He was able to lift the game of Delia's squad through expansive coaching and improved fitness. His constant battling will Lawwel and the board for proper funding saw him lose interest and the most surprising thing about his departure was the time it actually took him to leave.

Make no mistake Celtic knew he was leaving and tapped Lennon at Hibs. Lennon then engineered his way out of the Hibs job. There was never any question that he would be made permanent manager. Peter Lawwel admitted as much when he said they didn't bother interviewing anybody else. All that, "we decided to give him the job after he secured the treble treble" is ****ing fantasy for the benefit of the mhugs on KDS etc.

The Celtic board aren't even on the same planet as the Celtic fans though nevermind wavelength. They expected the we are all Neil Lennon **** to supersede the fact that Lennon is terrible coach. They were wrong. They are guilty of not only gross mismanagement of the football side of the club but the total disregard of its fan base.

Long may it continue.
