Saving a game the Hampshire way (well, trying to): getting in some t20 practice whilst trying to bat out two and a bit sessions.

What time can you bat til in these 4 day games? Gloucestershire need 160 with 10 wickets left, is that feasible?

Cracking comeback win Chilcs, your lads are in it for the long haul it seems. What a climax to the season it could be starting on 23 Sept at Taunton against Essex.
Got 2 tough matches before that first, Yorkshire at home and Hampshire at the Ageas! Need to win both of them to keep pace with Essex I reckon!

After our horrific decision to not replace Rilee with a batsmen the other week, I presume Organ has done enough to warrant being given a chance in place of Donald tomorrow. And Sunday for that matter, given that the five day concussion protocol still won't be over for Donald by then.

Plus, given that we can't qualify, giving a kid a chance can only be a good thing ahead of next season (even more so given that everyone will need to be relying on the kids a bit more next season with the white ball, in the one day competition).

Depends on how many overs are left in the day but the weather looks set fair. I would say that it is a bit unlikely.

Just seen that they are going at *TEN an over....if there is between 15-20 overs left then they stand a chance.

*Sorry, bad maths over 4 an over currently

Yeah I thought they might go for it as they are in with a chance of promotion with a win. Then I can say [HASHTAG]#div2crap[/HASHTAG]

In theory Gloucs have 50 overs to bat in total - so still 20 left.

If Derby bowled quick enough they could get more in. But barring a Gloucs collapse, Derby have no incentive to bowl more!

Might only need to win one of them if you beat Essex.

D'ya reckon they will prepare a bunsen for the last match or stick with their usual pitch?
I suppose they have to be wary of Harmer's threat.

I think Sam Cook is the biggest threat, judging by the way he demolished Kent yesterday!

We're officially safe now. Been a very long time since we were safe with three games still to play (of course a big reason for that is only one side getting relegated this season). Even when we finished 2nd back in, what 2008(?), we were still in danger of relegation for almost the entire season.

123 is the most Notts can reach, so Kent and Surrey should both join us in the next time out - and that's even if Kent themselves lose to Notts.

(It could yet go to the last day though between Notts and Warks. Still have to play each other at Trent Bridge, in their penultimate matches, and before that Warks have the unstoppable train that is Essex. So if Notts can beat Warks, and get something from Kent...)

What a brilliant last over from Suzie Bates.

That was more like the Suzie Bates of old.
