How can you tell the fish is a vegan?
It was Halloumi in a really nice batter with a fish taste !
We had 2 of those plus a good old burger for me to be on the safe side !
I was genuinely surprised how nice it was !
I'd go back to that little town again just to sample that !

Sounds foul

I’m drinking limoncello on the balcony

I appreciate that you've probably chosen your drink merely to ensure that OLM doesn't unexpectedly turn up crying 'Only me!' and raiding your laughably expensive mini-bar but my drink of choice in Sorrento would always be an Aperol Spritz, sipped lustfully with the women I love, whilst watching the setting sun to the left and the ever changing view of Vesuvius to the right.

Problem has always been ensuring that the wife doesn't drop in and ruin the whole experience.

Never been to Portugal myself Ernie what's it like ?

Halloumi? That's cheese, they've had your pants down saying it's vegan.

Minerva's steak pie is very good :emoticon-0110-tongu
You're right about the steak pie, it is good. What I don't like about Minerva isn't so much the food it's that they put it on plates that are too small so it's all piled up and a bit daunting-looking, to me at least. Oh, and the chips are too greasy.

Yeah proper chips can be a bit on the greasy side !
Thats why I opt for the mash at Blacksmiths!
They put something in the mash that makes it really nice !

Mrs Tash has been drinking Aperol Spritz tonight actually looking at those same views (not you and your bit on the side...the other things)
I did encourage her by saying ‘I’ve never tried that, but I’ve seen lots of people drinking it on the slopes while I’m snowboarding...it looks foul’
Her verdict
‘Looks like Irn Bru and tastes like earwax!’

There will be plenty left when you’re back here...

As a side note, at the Ed Sheeran concert yesterday in Leeds, tomato ketchup was £1 to be added to chips. Daylight robbery at its finest.
