I can't lie so far I've not liked its affect on after goal celebrations, everyone waits for the VAR confirmation its **** tbh
VAR was not introduced due to the pressure of fans, professionals or referee's . It was agreed directly as a result of the directors of all the top clubs. As I've already stated for financial reasons. Premier League Teams agreed it's implementation in November 2018. It came to a head after Southampton dropped two points due to a Charlie Austin disallowed goal, that disallowed goal left Southampton in the bottom three but above Cardiff on GD. Premier League = Money.
Oh right ok, sorry I wasn’t in the boardroom privy to this discussion like you, my bad, I’ll ****off then.
Alright, I am a honourable and just person. So I will make this concession : Before the PL season kicks off, a draw is made to see which club gets to play away at Citeh that season with VAR on the team sheet.
I said at the beginning of this convo Tel, there was an interview with the Villa director, he revealed how it's implementation came about.
Completely agree...am lucky enough to go to spurs quite a bit and you go mad then look at the ref snd if he has his finger to his ear it kills the atmosphere
It’s the sort of thing VAR is meant to be there for rather than help implement illogical rule changes.
