Hi all, just popping in after a good few months out, wish it could be in better circumstances.
I'm trying to keep off public sites, but I have a lot of friends here, so wanted to share that PC Andrew Harper is my nephew, my sisters boy. It's been horrific waking up to a call from my sister, then having to take her to my elderly parents and tell them before the news broke. Watching their lives dissolve was so heartbreaking. Nobody should do that.
Media is being painfully intrusive. I guess they have a job to do, but this is the rest of our lives, so a few days peace from them would be appreciated.
Thanks to any of you who have posted, either here or on social media, with condolences. It really does help.

My sincere condolences, I cannot begin to imagine what your family must be going through.
My heart goes out to you and your family, as someone who has lost two members of my family in the last few months I feel your pain, the horrendous circumstances beggar belief, condolences to you and your family

Terrible news WLW - hope you and your family are keeping strong for each other, these must be painful times for you all. The press are just gutter trash, but they'll move on soon enough. Hope you all see the justice you deserve handed out in as strong a manner as possible.

Your nephew is a hero, WLW. I know that is little comfort in these horrendous times for you and your family, but it is nevertheless a fact. To lose your life in such a senseless way must be hard to bear, but I hope you all in time find the strength to be rightly proud. My thoughts are with you.

If anybody can share this link, I'd appreciate it. It's been set up by Thames Vslley Police to get some support funding for Andrew's widow Lissie to cover whatever is needed. I was at the wedding a few weeks ago, and it truly was a magical day. All the more poignant and important now...

I know we’ve had a few differences in the past mate, but much respect to your family during this horrible time.
I can only imagine what you are all going through and words alone can not convey my sympathy.
From reports, Your nephew seems to of been one of the real good guys, doing his duty to the best of his ability and much loved by all that knew him.

Condolences to your sister, parents and of course his wife as well as all the wider family WLW. An unnecessary loss of life for someone committed to working for the better of the wider community and tragically taken away from all around him.
