It generally helps to make a judgement if it's based on the correct information to start with.

Statement from the Premier League - “It is up to clubs themselves to request a date on which the independent audit takes place, and is not dictated by the Premier League.”

The bubble pitch at Bishop Burton was always the best solution, the whole sorry mess is detailed here...

You've changed track, thought you said we already had the bubble when the airco arena row erupted ?

Of course we didn't have one already, otherwise they wouldn't have taken over the Airco in the first place. <doh>

I said using a bubble pitch was always an option available to the club and having it at Bishop Burton was the always the best option, as it's where the Academy is based (an hour round trip to get from the Academy to their own indoor pitch, was always a daft proposition).

It's taken them four years to figure this out themselves, still, better late than never.

The club wanted confirmation that planning permission would be granted for it and the council couldn't give that in the time frame that they had to conform with for box ticking procedure to gain the Academy Status they were seeking.
Not a time frame thing

No council can confirm planning will be permitted...anywhere...ever

If they spent even a tiny proportion of the money they do on lawyers finding out useful stuff they’d know that

When did they apply for the bubble pitch at BB? How long do you think. It will take?
We needed it for the academy upgrade
Crucial in our development of young talent

When did they start thinking about the academy upgrade and the need for a bubble pitch? That’s the salient question. To which the answer is too late. Whether that oversight was wilful or cock-up I don’t know.

I would say it was down to lack of forward planning and thinking they can do things their way without the constraints everyone else has to face.

Or as city man says they don’t actually spend every waking hour thinking about city!?
I do hope there will be the same protests about the council turfing a load of youth footballers out of a facility in west hull and they’ve not righted that wrong yet??

There are events held at the Airco, I went to see my young nephew do his thing at a parkour display there about 18 months ago.

They've taken their time applying for planning permission, when the fee for Josh Tymon was eventually agreed Ehab wouldn't say how much it was but did say it would pay for the new bubble pitch.
