Our defending was sh*t in the Championship, and then when we lost Klose and Zimmerman..

I wasn’t trying to be a downer. I was really worried. When I talked about 5 or 6-0 it was honest. Even I didn’t expect 4-0 at HT. it could easily be 8 now.

Forget the 1st half. Go out & win the second. We've had our chances & should have scored. a couple. Liverpool put 4 past Barcelona. This game is not going to define our season unless the players let it. Why is Lewis matched up against van Dyke doesn't make sense to me.

I was shouting at the screen and said that to my GF loads. So stupid! Half the height and half the muscle! Half the intelligence too at Premiership level.

Nothing we didn't know really. Defence looks very shaky indeed. Going forward we don't look too bad. But the whole thing seems to be happening at a speed completely different from the Champs. Important not to get defeatist after this.

Godfrey has looked good but Hanley is all over the place

Not sure about that. Godfrey failed to mark Firminho and he had a clear run for his goal. Aarons is overcommitting up the pitch and McLean has to leave a gap in midfield to cover at LB. Why Lewis is marking van Dijk is beyond me. He just shouldered Lewis aside to score with a clean header. Why we're trying to play tika taka passing in our own area is beyond me. It's just making it easy for them.

Ironically we've played well up the pitch but we need to get a balance.
