That seems a pretty fair analysis on the whole, except it doesn't go on to detail the 'problems' we posed when attacking. Had Stieperman put away any of his 3 chances in the first half it could have been a much closer match. 43% possession (42% in the first half) was impressive and far greater than most teams manage at Anfield, as were the 8 shots on target. An early goal against Newcastle would certainly improve our chances.
