Dear Supporters,

We start this new season by welcoming Grant and Cliff to their first competitive home game. Grant’s ambition, desire, hunger, and strong identity matched those of the Club and were the deciding factors in his appointment. We’re looking forward to an attacking style and exciting season of football ahead having retained key players and brought in some talented young footballers. We wish Grant, Cliff, our new players and the rest of the team the best of luck for the coming season.

In the last year we’ve seen a lot of positive changes at the Club. Supporter consultation has been key and is very important to us. We are committed to keeping positive dialogue with our 12 strong supporter committee, where the constructive feedback has led to changes which include the new fan designed Crest, the reintroduction of concessions, the removal of the joining fee, and the Club’s name is now back to Hull City.

Furthermore, having put the needs of the football club first with the conversion of the Arena to facilitate the Academy Category 2 status, we have significantly improved the standard of coaching, facilities and development of players with clear pathways through to the first team. This has culminated in 7888 minutes played by Academy players in League and Cup matches which we’re proud to say was one of the highest figures in the League last season. In addition to this, there will be even more Academy loan signings into the League this season.

We have also put further investment into a new portable Air Dome at the Academy at Bishop Burton College (subject to final planning consent) which will see the return of the multi-use surface at the Tigers Trust Arena in the near future. We look forward to seeing the continued good work of Catherine and the team, with over 25,000 individuals experiencing the benefit of our fantastic community Trust in the last year alone.

We’re committed to continue rebuilding our relationship with supporters, and strengthening the position of the Club. With this in mind, we look forward to the season ahead and hope to see more of you back at the stadium supporting the team.

Ehab Allam
Vice Chairman

Dear ehab.
Please re- instate concessions for the disabled and then return to attending the game yourself then we can all support the team.
Thanks
A hull city fan.

Can I be the first to say Gawd bless you sir, whilst doffing cap and genuflecting to the saintly Ehab.

I got to the second line and pissed myself laughing.

While I hope I’m dreadfully wrong, a third division manager signed third division footballers on free transfers for a third division club.

Take a look around the division and see how many are investing in all manner of areas, not just players.

Aside from Liam cooper, which academy player is in a regular lineup? Serious question btw.

he's still a ****

Corrected for you.

I might, and it's a big might, have given him (and his old man) a little bit of benefit of the doubt & respect if he had started that letter with an apology and admission of fault for all the wrongs they've done.

However, at least things off the field edge in a better direction (which isn't saying much). I can't see a fresh start until they've ****ed off .... or given a sincere apology (which will never happen).

"we have re-instated all the things designed to **** you all off in the first place.... and as you have all ****ed off (well the vast majority) we hope that in reinstating them some of you might please return, the money from the sell of HM will only go so far"...

Impressed .

So far no one dropping the sarky "It's his club he can do as he wants" or "He'll sell in 24 hrs" bombs.

Start of a new season.

Olive branch of sorts? Attempt to learn from past errors?

In the past, people (me included) have had a go about lack of leadership and nor rallying the troops.Regardless of how much money, the Allams have allowed McCann to spend, they are at least going through the motions of backing him in public

I'll be there tomorrow, another season with all to play for, supporting my local team as I have done for half a century.

Looking forward to it as much as ever, one of the highspots of the season.

WE GO AGAIN
