Foyth is a decent player as it goes...is young so makes mistakes but there has potential to be a very good player.
Tbh he would be hard pushed to be worse than Trippier last season.
I only missed City and Bournemouth at home last season in all competitions and he played well in the 1st home match v Fulham and was average in 2 or 3 others and the rest were variants of poor...against Man Utd, Man City (saw it on tv), Wolves and Arsenal he was truely appalling and cost us a goal in each game.

Isn't Foyth out injured long term? Maybe I'm tripping but thought he did his ACL or something.

They think it wasn't as bad as first thought...they are hoping he'll be back by the beginning of September.
We have Walker Peters too and he is a decent player although his development seems to have slowed.

Both he and Walker-Peters have a huge chance this season. It's near enough impossible either can be as bad as Trippier (or Aurier) but it's whether they can be good enough to persuade Poch not to reinforce the position in January. Long term Foyth will play CB anyway but semi-regular minutes at RB will still help his development. KWP just needs to improve the defensive aspects of the FB role, he's great at going forward but gets caught out too often, literally just like how Walker used to be in his early days.

Tierney is a cracking signing by Arsenal imo.

Balanced off by signing Side Show Bob ffs.

Side show Bob is an upgrade on Mustafi and Kos, so it's good deal for us as a stop gap until Saliba comes in. Don't doubt there'll be some banter though as Luiz is bound to drop a few clangers. But overall I think our defence will be much better with him and Tierney in there.

What do you make of the Iwobi deal ?
