They want better players than we can afford and seem incapable of getting their heads around our current plight.
To continually ask for signings way out of our league in the full knowledge they have no chance of coming to this club is complete stupidity, but that doesn't seem to stop the endless dross from the usual suspects on here which has become rather tedious and I for one have taken a step back from responding to them (present thread excepted).
God help this forum and Jack Ross if we get hammered at Ipswich.[/QUOTE]

The forum will be fine, its here to praise and dam, I can only think of the semi final legs against Pompey fit to praise, other than that we have consistently under performed on and off the pitch. It can all change in a flash, with a few good results, fingers crossed.

We were top of the league last season and playing well with Maja in the team. All went TU when he left and we never recovered. There was a lot of positivity about last Christmas. Lots to be positive about. That’s 5 football months ago!

Aye. I’ve concerns but I’m gonna hang fore for a month or so.

Reality is if a striker finds his feet then I’d be fully confident we’d get out of the league.

Normally i'm a Jolly Roger character but this season, could see me sinking if we play crap, lately i've been thinking about that world cup song and the years of hurt and i long for a bit of success in my lifetime.

I’m not sure the striker is the issue. No point having a centre forward on top form if he only gets the ball in the right area once a game!! When Ipswich attacked yesterday they went forward with purpose and endeavour. Getting shots off most of the time they were in our final third. We were in theirs about half the amount of times but only managed 3 shots! We just don’t create anything. Nullify McGeady and you nullify us

Grigg had three chances yesterday inside or just outside the 6 yd box, but he didn't manage anything even resembling a shot on goal. Gooch fed him a ball with some pace that was about knee high from 10 yds away. I wasn't expecting Grigg to collect the ball but he could have flicked or deflected the ball goalwards. Not so long after, with Gooch and Grigg at about the same positions on the field, but this time Grigg was more open, Gooch's much softer pass along the grass found Grigg wrong footed. And Maguire's late cross into Grigg at the near post, looked reachable, but Grigg could not elevate sufficiently.
