To be fair Eaves went to a championship side so we wouldn't have had a chance unless we offered silly money which is the last thing we need to be doing.

Atm imho offs (that's enough of that)

The players do not seem motivated or organised... poor passing, no pressing etc and very few chances created.. Grigg for whatever reason should not be on the pitch as he typifies the teams lethargy

Regardless he wants two up top!!!
Ahh I see - so something-something-2!

Was strange on Saturday - you could see the setup of 3-5-2 but then McLaughlin got himself forward down the right supporting Gooch - Hume was all alone on the left with zero support from anyone - his crossing was poor (unusually for him) admittedly but I felt for him defensively as Neither Flanaghan nor McGeouch helped him out.

Wonder how it will pan out during the season. Thought McGeouch was OK at the weekend - possibly the best passing game for us I've seen him in - but he didn't read the game when Hume was venturing forwards and was caught out. Maybe it will come with time as we do have plenty with another 45 games to play. Although, the way some go on, you'd think we only had 3 games left!!!

Aye I felt for Hume he didn't get much help at all from Flanagan who didn't seem to realise he was supposed to be doing so, didn't look they'd done any work on the formation in preseason but they must have.

Hume did have a shocker in terms of crossing accuracy but like you say it was uncharacteristic and I'm sure he'll do better next game.

Massive part of it I think - form and confidence and something our fans seemingly don't take into account. Amazing what a difference being backed makes to everyone (even in my singing - if we have a **** crowd we don't play as well as we do with a crowd which backs us from song 1!)

The other thing you hear is the "He's earning £x thousand a week" etc! So what? Does that stop him from having feelings/being human etc. Get behind the team and the team will do better. End of story IMO
Wish I had a pound for every time I have heard that last sentence we must recruit deaf players<ok>

whickham we dream of him now ! Defoe, Bentdner, Welbeck, this is the worst striker line up in 40 years at this club.

And that in a nutshell is what our over critcal, impatient fans still seen unable to grasp.
They want better players than we can afford and seem incapable of getting their heads around our current plight.
To continually ask for signings way out of our league in the full knowledge they have no chance of coming to this club is complete stupidity, but that doesn't seem to stop the endless dross from the usual suspects on here which has become rather tedious and I for one have taken a step back from responding to them (present thread excepted).
God help this forum and Jack Ross if we get hammered at Ipswich.

Just cos we are in the turd division, for the 2nd year running, making it the lowest point of our history. It does not mean we have to put up with the disorganised unmotivated mess we were on Saturday and for many games last season. Ross has to shoulder a fair amount of the blame...lack of enthusiasm is catching.
