Seemingly not looking at the reports - but we didn;t have to pay him off seemingly (lots of seeminglies in this aren't there!) so that frees the club up massively and probably made the Dobson deal possible.
 
I’ve heard from a 100% reliable source about 2 of our dealings with players leaving.

Cattermole. Instead of paying him for 2 years he will get EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT, paid by SAFC, over 4 years.
If he gets another club he will get that money as well but our payment will not change.
I don’t know his pay but if it was £40k per week which is about £2 million a year then his 2 years left means £4 million and he gets it all but over 4 years instead of 2.

O’Video. This is not certain but it seems we are still paying part of his pay (I don’t know how much) to FC Copenhagen. I believe we got no fee for him.

I can’t tell you where I got this from but it’s totally reliable.

Ah, Lawrence Shankland.
The striker has been linked with Sunderland for well over a year now, but the Black Cats could be set to FINALLY seal a deal - according to some reports.
The Scottish Sun believe that the Black Cats have offered the hotshot a contract after he netted 34 goals last season.
Fingers crossed that he can continue that form if he does sign!
