I know Growshitski won't track back every one knows he won't. He's terrible even the odd time he does.
You put up with it for what he givesgoing forward.
It's up to Terry to provide the solution.

Agreed.

Like Rob just said. If you have 3 cenner mids then surely they should be sliding across to offer support in defensive phases.

Surely you can work a system that affords you the luxury of turbo.

Some teams have systems that only have full backs providing the width. They must make it work.

Everything will be fine.
Plus once Harry is sold the new man will have close to £10m to spend on the team
Onwards and upwards......

maybe it was a glass half full day for me but I've certainly seen us play much worse - Swansea weren't that good to be fair

The score line in my morning newspaper must have been wrong then...I'm sure it said 2-1...
If Swansea aren't that good, does that make us worse? I'll assume it does.

I have to say I do like the model that GMc is attempting to get us playing .. the players fitness levels will increase and we will become more efficient with it. Whether we have the skill levels to retain the ball remains to be seen but you have to give the man chance to get them up to speed. I suspect that may be where Toral comes in if he can get him fit and firing. Eaves obviously needs game time to sharpen up .. and Grosicki and Bowen need educating regarding their defensive responsibilities when we dont have the ball. As has been said the defence needs work and/or a change of personnel in certain areas. Time will tell but I am prepared to give the fella a fair crack of the whip before I do a Swanny and shoot him down.

De Wijs came off as he’d had a sickness bug and had been throwing up all night. You have to question McCann playing him if he’s known about this all along. Never start a player that isn’t 100%. He should have started with Tafazolli.

Reminds me of Adkins starting MacDonald then taking him off really early and bollocking him
only to say later he knew he wasn't right before the game
Exactly what I was thinking. The Macdonald situation was worse though as Adkins completely threw him under the bus despite knowing he was ill before picking him. Kingsley was poor but Mccann needs to cotton on that Grosicki will never provide the tracking back ethic that he wants as long as he is in the team. I remember Robertson struggling defensively because of Grosicki. Good to see Toral close to the team again though as he might give us a bit of creativity in the middle.

Apparently there was a behind closed doors friendly on Monday against Lincoln, which featured several players that didn't get much match time against Swansea.

It finished 1-1. Bruno Andrade scored for them, not sure who scored for us.

If Toral can get a run of games I think you will see a different player. When he was on loan at Birmingham he was their player of the season I believe.
