Australia again are trying to get the ball changed. This time it doesn't fit through the metal rings and a new cherry is being delivered. How have they affected that ? They must be under so much scrutiny . I'm not doubting you , just want to know how , if they are cheating , that have managed to do it .
Yes, but listening to TMS, this ball has much mor shine on one side and is moving around a lot. I don’t often agree with Sir Geoffrey, but this time he’s right. This ball is not the same as the one it replaced
Agreed, if anyone's to be 'blamed' it's the umpires if they've not chosen an equivalent one to the previous ones
I am aware of the rules, thank you. I think they bullied the umpires into changing it. 2 wickets since the ball change shows how much more the change ball must be swinging.
I don’t really understand why the batting side don’t get the opportunity to also review the ball when the fielding side request a change .......
I suppose it’s never been an issue before, but this time there is such a difference between the two balls it shows the need for both sides to agree on the quality of the new one.
I'm sorry but I object to you tarring the entire side with the same brush. 3 of them cheated. The rest have done nothing wrong.
The Aussies have always cheated ..... I mean ..... look at the whole bodyline thing? The upright, perfect English captain came up with a great strategy to combat the Aussie batting and they went crying off and got the rules changed .....
Have they been banned for anything? No. I believe the phrase is innocent until proven guilty not the other way round.
Going back to the sandpaper incident, there is absolutely zero chance that a ball could be tampered with, without at least one of the senior bowlers at the very least being aware of it, if not actively involved. And yet 3 batsmen were banned.
I thought the English bowlers were trying to separate the Aussies Heads from the rest of their bodies . Or at least cause Cardiac Arrest ?
