    “There’s obviously uncertainty over Markus’ future,” said McCann after a 2-0 defeat to Amiens last night.

    “He’s in the last year of his contract so I couldn’t take a risk for any bids to be coming in last minute and us losing Markus.

    “All of a sudden you’re having to change the captaincy again.

    “Eric Lichaj will be the captain this year. Jackson Irvine will be the vice-captain this year.

    “I spoke to Markus about it and he’s fine with it. He’ll crack on as normal.”

    I imagine the lad will be a terrific captain .. never fails to give 100% on the pitch and seems a lad who will get stuck into the team if they aint doing what they should. I suspect Henriksen is on his way however for the life of me I dont know who'd pay a 6 figure sum for him.
