HULL CITY PLAY THEIR FIFTH AND FINAL FRIENDLY OF PRE-SEASON ON SATURDAY AS THEY MAKE THE SHORT TRIP DOWN THE M18 TO FACE LEAGUE ONE DONCASTER ROVERS AT THE KEEPMOAT STADIUM (2PM).
It will be the Tigers’ first visit to the home of the South Yorkshire outfit since August 2017 when the two sides met in the second round of the Carabao Cup. A young Hull City side – featuring eight debutants from the Academy – produced a spirited display against their more senior opponents but couldn’t prevent the hosts from progressing after slipping to a 2-0 defeat.
The Yorkshire derby sees McCann return to face his former club just 36 days after leaving to join the Tigers but the Head Coach’s focus is firmly on ending their pre-season preparations on a positive note as they look to bounce back from Wednesday night’s 2-0 home defeat to French side Amiens SC.
Doncaster appointed Darren Moore as McCann’s successor a day after their opening pre-season friendly – a 3-0 win over Rossington Main before registering a 3-0 victory over Gainsborough Trinity shortly. However, Rovers are winless in the last three friendly outings having drawn 1-1 with Halifax Town and slipped to back-to-back defeats at the hands of Grimsby Town and Huddersfield Town – losing 1-0 and 2-0 respectively.
TicketsSupporters who haven’t bought tickets in advance for Saturday’s pre-season trip to Doncaster Rovers will be able to pay on the day.
Tickets can be purchased from the ‘Club Doncaster Academy’, which is located next to the North Stand at the Keepmoat Stadium, with prices as follows:
£10 Adults
£5 Concessions (Seniors 60+ & Young Adults 18-24)
£1 Juniors Aged 17 and Under
