- Lied about affairs, faking quotes (sacked from the Times for this)
- Proven racist comments against black people and Muslims
- Penned a column about how important it was to remain in the EU, the day before he switched to leave
- Multiple episodes of incompetence (wasting £40m on a bridge that was never built, getting EU rules wrong time and time again)

But it's ok because he has CHARISMA.

We genuinely deserve him to be Prime Minister. At least it should be quite short, because he is going to completely and utterly **** this up.

Personally (see quite a few of my comments on Boris) I think he is the wrong man for the job. However, maybe everyone who is against Boris as PM should treat this the same as an underwhelming signing for your club. Not happy/impressed with the signing but you will give him a chance as he is now at your club and you will support him 100%. So the same with Boris, not happy/impressed with him being PM but I will give him a chance as he is now the leader of my country and I will support him 100%.

Let me take your questions 1 at a time....

1) So we have one vote and stick with it?
On this occasion YES. Because we were told in a leaflet that "the government, who spent 9 million on tax payers money on leaflets, WILL implement the outcome" of the referendum.

2) And then what?
Actually implement the decision! That would be called democracy!

3) We wait for a prime minister to die before we have another election?
That's a bit of a daft question. We all know elections come every 4 years, unless a snap election is called.

4) Or is it only votes you won that you want to stick with forever?
Who said anything about it being forever? The referendum 40 years ago to join the EU (and by the way those who didn't want to join the EU back then in a close result didn't cry about it and demand a 2nd vote) hasnt lasted forever and again that leaflet sent to everyone from the government said it will be "a once in a generation decision". Does that sound like 'forever'?

5) Nice version of democracy that is.
Claiming its the peoples choice to decide if we remain or not in the EU and saying the government will implement that decision..... and then the government agreeing to start article 50...... and then over 80% of votes in the last election were for parties who said on their manifesto that they will still implement the referendum result..... is not a nice version of democracy???? But you think going against all of the above is a nice version of democracy???? Do you think going for a 2nd referendum and claiming that decision would be implemented would be a nice version of democracy when the original decision has yet to be implemented? We have very different views on what democracy actually is.

Seeing as Boris is compared to Trump so much, how about we wait and see what he does for the UK. Trump has made some abhorrent comments and holds some very questionable character traits, as Rob has stated, so does Boris.

Yet strip all this back to what a President/Prime Minister is meant to do - enrich the economy of their nation, Trump has delivered in spades, so why can't Boris?

I work for a US-owned company and our founder and our CEO, whilst they hate what Trump stands for, they freely admit he has really strengthened the US economy, that is fact, but glossed over by people's vitriol towards him.

Give Boris a chance.

Spot on i think we will all be supervised,Trump likes Boris. let's hope it ignites trade between our countrys which would be massive.

It would be interesting to see where we all would be now if we can go back in time and give Boris the job instead of May. Giving a remainer the PM job after leave won the referendum was always going to be a bad choice. A Brexiteer should have been given the job to implement what they claimed during the build up of the referendum. Leadsom and Boris were the 2 most vocal leavers in the build up to the referendum. If one of them were the PM instead of May 3 years ago then everyone could see if they were really all mouth or not. Then if they fukked it up then we all could have pulled together to revoke the decision maybe. But now Boris is taking over in an awful position replacing May who has wasted 3 years and fukked it up. Boris has to try and turn things around and this could be impossible! Especially when majority of parliament are against the will of the peoples choice. Are chances of a very good leaving the EU deal was damaged when a remainer got the PM job and the state of Brexit now probably will mean it will now never happen.

100% it will happen,if not the main party's are finished.

The team Boris will put together looks a formidable bunch.

May should never have got the job, i said that at the time.

Boris has the hardest job for a incoming prime minister in history outside of war.

We Brexiteers should give the man a chance and see where he takes us.

What politician do you know that has never lied?
Were they really racist comments or comments that offended those that are easily offended?
He's allowed to change his mind when and when he decides it's better for the country.
All Governments waste money............Labour Gov. Wasted money and lives in the Iraq war that had no grounds.

I can only live in hope that Boris gets the UK out of the EU on October 31st.
Alas, I can't see it happening.

The antidemocrats inside Parliament will ensure we stay deadlocked.
A general election will be called and we'll end up with hung parliament.
The antidemocrats won't care, Corbyn and the Lib Dems will team up and reverse the referendum result.

Not implementing the referendum result has changed my view of 'remainers'. I respect their opinion leaving may be a bad decision but not to accept the result is another matter.

I'm sorry to say I detest every one of them.

I actually believe that if a general election is called. Boris will team up with Nigel and the Brexit Party and it will happen...............Can't see Corbyn/Abacus & Co getting a look in!!

Really not sure they will work together and also I think it will be difficult to implement.

Farage and the Tories will not team up. No chance. Farage has said he will not work with the Tories if they continue to pursue that awful deal that May had set up with the EU. Farage said he would work with the Tories only if they go with a no deal Brexit. But he doesn't believe the Tories has the guts to force a no deal.

If it goes to a General Election, I believe the Tories will need the Brexit Party to keep out Corbyn & Co...otherwise RP is right.....Brexit will never happen.
There will only be an election if we get to Oct 31 and we are still not out..

Boris won't team up with Farage as Boris will get lots of resignations from his back benches so less chance of a election win.
Farage won't team up with Boris as Farage only wants no deal and believes Boris will only make threats about no deal and not follow through.
But I agree with you. If they don't team up, Brexit won't happen.

Interesting interview here with Farage just now....
