That's not an option to buy. They might want to sell him to you next year, if they decide that he's ****. Brilliant. <ok>

Not in the loan deal, but still a potential transfer should Real madrid agree to sell. It depends on lots of factors, if Ceballos has a good season at Arsenal and settles in London he could decide that he wants to stay. We all know that Real will spend a **** ton of cash between now and then too, and may well just buy another player in his position anyway.

A similar thing happened with Kovacic at Chelsea. He was loaned from Real without an option to buy, but then Chelsea bought him the following summer anyway.

By that logic every team in the world has an option to buy him.

As I said before, you're putting yourselves in a poor position and the deal is extremely one-sided.
Your manager has agreed to play him a lot and if it works out well, then his value inflates dramatically.
If it doesn't work, then you've wasted a year training up a Real Madrid player.

As with Kovacic, Real have agreed to discuss a transfer with us next summer. So if he has a good season, we potentially get the option to buy him, if he doesn't we send him back. Obviously an option to buy in the loan deal would have been preferable. But this deal suits us, we need MF reinforcements and we don't have to lay out any transfer money this summer.

And Chelsea got ****ed on the Kovacic fee, but they don't care because they can afford it and they can't sign anyone else.
You can't afford it. You've agreed to a **** deal that Spurs wouldn't and you're claiming it as a victory.

<laugh> Calm down. I said it was a decent deal for us as we get MF reinforcement and we don't have to pay any transfer deal this summer.

Being serious now.

First part is a good argument.

Not sure that is a good argument. If hes ****, youh wasted a year (if he was bought you would also have wasted a year) you have saved yourself money on the purchase price as you have paid f all compared a permanent buy.

Overall though agree, its better to have bought permanently or a loan with option to buy

Accoring to Sky, there may be an option to buy him next summer

'Despite the lack of a buyout clause, Real Madrid have promised Arsenal that they will re-evaluate their position next summer and potentially discuss a permanent transfer then, according to Sky Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano.'

Literally, mate, just listen to yourself!
<laugh>

It’s as desperate as it gets.

Reports saying we are favourites to sign Dennis Praet, another Belgian midfielder, from Sampdoria ... straight fight between us and AC Milan coz the Goons have now dropped out coz them ain't got no money <whistle>

Kovacic must have had an option to buy, otherwise Chelsea have just broken their transfer embargo.

Im not sure if it was. I read somewhere embargo stops us registering players not buying players. **** knows how that worked with pulisic?

Didnt barca buy a load of players when they were embargoed but couldnt sign then up? (Think it was vidal the right back and turan)

Pulisic was already your player before you were banned from making signings. Kovacic was registered as a Chelsea player so you could extend his stay by activating a buy-out clause.
