One thing I also notice is that as of today only 8710 watched the video on YT. Now I'm not a football supporter, but I am a Saints supporter. Am I one of only 8710 who can be bothered to catch up on the progress that Saints are trying to make? I thought this club was reasonably well supported? I just find the small figure interesting.

I didn't watch it, but it's not that I'm disinterested...I read a summary of what was said at the forum on here before the youtube video was uploaded.

Some fans will be like me....save the long stuff till later, so may eventually watch it or not. I go the gym where there are two Saints fans....always wanting to discuss matches and what's happening, but I notice that they regard me as a source (as if I work at the club :))...so there are fans who don't hang around the internet like stalkers and may even have a life :) Unlike me <laugh>
Wow, you go to the gym, Fran? You've always put yourself across as a chocolate and biscuit eating person who thinks that getting up from the chair is the daily exercise. :bandit::rolleyes:

It's ok people, you don't need to defend your individual 'Saints fan commitment'. I'm just surprised that supposedly important Saints videos arouse so little interest.

Do you realise that there are only 60K+ Saints YT subscribers in the entire world? I think that's a bit pathetic, to be honest. Not exactly getting the message out there is it.

Some people just aren't too bothered by all the social media nonsense. I wouldn't say that it's a particularly low number either. At least 3x times our core support.

I wouldn't read the summary and watch the video personally, I'm a man of limited time :)

Just because you watched it on YT doesn't mean others did ... it was put on the OS, for example.

Just WOW! :1980_boogie_down:How long have you been going?
Since I had a heart op....the NHS gives you 6 weeks of gym classes and then you switch to paying for it if you like. We have a great Heart Club on the Island that runs classes solely for heart patients. Been excellent for me because as pointed out I have a sedentary tendency.

That's great. Pleased it's working out for you.

Saints in Dublin. Apparently day two. Didn't notice day one. Never mind. Boufal is back, smiling and laughing. I really hope Ralph can find a place for him. He is a game changer:

Boufal does look class in that video. Lovely touches and so skilful. IF, a big IF Ralph could get something out of him, he could be awesome.

I have always valued skill in footballers. Especially Saints footballers. Something that really stands out. It's why MLT is my favourite. He had it all in spades. Boufal is a modern super skilful footballer, who happens to be fit enough for the modern game and has loads of pace. He just needs to be appreciated by his manager. I think he'll obediently track back and defend well, if he's allowed to exploit his skills in attack. He can do it. Maybe Ralph will appreciate him.

It is illegal to release a grey squirrel into the wild as they are classed as vermin....has to be humanely sent to the great dray in the sky.

Luckily no such laws here regarding our little red squirrels. That one decided to adopt my work as its new home earlier in the month, which led to a week of us startling each other coming around corners. Borrowed a live trap, and thankfully it turns out that they are fond of baguettes with garlic butter, as it's the only thing I had on hand for bait.

Our loft got invaded by squirrels last year. We used to think they were cute, running along our back fence all day. Once into the loft they chewed through everything, including electrical wires, fasciae, soffits. They scared the life out of our kids, scuttling around up there all night. We caught 8 in the end. 3 were bludgeoned to death with a metal pole and the rest shot in the face. Sounds harsh but they are evil vermin. All in, including pest control and remedial repairs, it cost us close to £900. Hate the little fockers.
