I can see them asking for it in the meeting, let’s see how far we can push them - our logo in a massive sash across the front of the kit. Surely they’ll never go for that?!
It's been suggested that, as the logo breaks pretty much every rule on sponsors logos, it's a troll

A troll started by Paddy Power

Not a good working relationship when a sponsor goes out of their way to make the club a laughing stock

Jesus ****ing Christ this is bad

I hate every thing about this company, what damage they cause to society and get away with putting out the ****e disclaimer "when the fun stops
stop"
Their crap puns and jokes ,if I was a huddersfield fan I would boycott the club

It's generated plenty of publicity for both them and the sponsor, though. Probably deliberately.

Only the sponsor gains though. The club could face a fine for breaching regulations plus hundreds if not thousands of irate fans who have already shelled out for the kit only to be told a week later that it has been mothballed for reason: colossally stupid oversight.

Not if they don't sell the kit and release a proper one that doesn't break the rules. I assume that's been the plan all along.

You're quite right. The article announcing the new kit on their OS mentions that the kit will be available for online purchase this morning - that hasn't happened. And was meant to be available in-store from Saturday - which probably now won't happen. So no-one in the known universe owns one yet.

That said, trifling with fans who have just witnessed their team equal the record for quickest relegation is not a good idea imo.

That's from last night's game. How stuck on does that sponsorship thing look?
The FA will probably have something to say about it when the truth comes out. Perhaps a slight rules alteration.

A lot may change, but it appears as if Nabil Fekir will join Real Betis. Anyone else find this a potentially bizarre transfer?
He could be moving from the 3rd-best team in France to the 10th-best team in Spain.

A lot of top clubs were after him the season before last due to his incredible form. And although he didn't hit those dizzying heights last season, he is still a very good player who can offer another dimension to any team's attack. Only just turned 26, too.

He must have some sort of injury that other clubs are concerned about because I can't understand why he would consider joining Betis when most top sides were after his signature for ages.

He missed almost the entire 2015/16 season with a cruciate injury, which was compounded with a second knee injury in 2016/17 that caused him to miss a month due to requiring an operation and a bone bruise in 2017/18, which has reportedly led to signs of the cartilage in that knee showing signs of degeneration

He failed a medical at Liverpool last season. Dodgy knees or something.

Turns out that the Paddy Power sash on the Huddersfield shirt was a campaign to highlight the "return the shirt" to the fans , a campaign for unbranded shirts
I would love to see our shirt returned this way but cannot see the businesses accepting this
That said I still think that paddy power are a ****e house company <laugh>

Current sponsors no doubt would have a problem.
The retro shirts OTOH may be a different matter.

Are the club forced by "in perpetuity" legalese to put the Holsten logo
etc on a shirt that has not professionally been worn in anger for at
least 20 years ??

I've tried to buy shirts in the past without the sponsors logo but had no luck, fair enough with a current sponsor but after its lapsed I would have thought they were fair game to be sold without

Didn't Damiao once score hat tricks for us against Arsenal and Real Madrid in our champions league winning season ? .........oh no it was all a dream
