So now you think the jamaican cbs are better than the english ones.

What other gems you going to come out with fossie rodgers

No Bobby ... but I don't think Wes is in competition to be the best British centre back <doh> ya fooked up ... live with it ...

The point that John and U were both making is that Magure still has a bit to learn about defending... but you'd want him in your team as much for some of his other attributes ... Wes in his pomp was a fine defender (as he proved with Huth) ... but was not as good an all round footballer.

PS as for gems ... quite like Dim Son ... seems to fit <laugh>

Then I'm surprised by the negativity of many... because he has been one of England's best and most consistent performers ... just as he has at club level ... perhaps there is an unconscious bias?

Maybe mate, I don’t think he’s in the top 5/6 centre halves in world football and because of his price that’s what people think he should be. We can’t go and poach the likes of Varane, De Ligt or Ramos for obvious reasons, so we have to look at this level and hope we can improve the player.

Can't argue with any of that mate

It makes sense to buy the younger players at the moment, it was fine to buy the best players when you were on top and it didn't matter that they cost a lot and had no resale value as they would come in and do the job then move on and be replaced. All good when you're winning the big trophies. It seems the penny has dropped though and that you need to build for the future the signings you've made so far plus this one if it happens are spot on and will give the manager a young base to work from.

We had been building for the future, Martial, Bailly, Dalot, Lindelof, Shaw etc, then bam out of nowhere Sanchez, Matic. Young, new contract, Smalling new contract, Jones new contract.

It’s a joke that people blame managers for this, it’s ALL Woodward the banker ****er playing FM.

Very latest is that United are way short of our valuation and contrary to the pap bollocks written yesterday, Maguire is not fuming with the club, fully understands the club's take and, whilst he would love to join United, will be fully committed to playing for LCFC if the move doesn't happen.

Duncan Castles is rarely wrong about these things mate. He was calling the AWB move when all the other rags were saying it’s not done.

My post is based from local paper that has strong links with the club ... they tend to be straight even if it's not what the support wants to hear.... e.g admitting that he would love to join you.

Local papers always descredit reports if they don’t get the exclusive. The MEN are the biggest joke going when it comes to football news. I’d imagine this is very close to being done if Leicester City themselves haven’t come out and denied these reports.

How dare you criticise him? (When Fosse thought he was staying)

Naaah he’s not that good(When Fosse realised he’s leaving)

<doh>

I know that this may be a little difficult for someone with your levels of cerebral cohesion to comprehend (and Archers will now be off to Google) ... so I'll reiterate . .

Like Harry a lot Damn good centre back and not a bad all round footballer. Would rather he stayed than went.

But:

Money being quoted is lunatic so would take it. Not least because we have good options at CB, plus that money could be used to bring in another couple of very decent signings.

The end.

I'm as chilled as a penguin with his pecker in the ice box bru ... indeed it is with wry amusement that I obsetve how far wide of the mark some individuals judge the mood of my postings ... you will understand a lot more if we ever get the chance to meet up for that kebab and mango lassi ... which I hope we do <cheers>

Being one of the best British CB's hardly says much at the moment tbh, can you imagine if a club signed Henderson for 70m+ and justified it by saying he's probably the best English DM?
