He's been doing it for a decade too... among the greatest defenders since the turn of the century imo.
Thing is, I swear no one's even said Maguire is a bad player or anything? Just merely overpriced which is a fair statement, albeit a player is worth what a club is willing to pay.

The fact VVD is the favourite to win the Ballon D'or kinda says to me that he's seen as the best defender around (at the moment). That was my statement, not over the last decade, Bob.
To be fair nobody has had a better season than VVD but Kompany was the boss in the duel, only one walked away with the main prize, that’s just not up for debate sorry.
