Good start from the bowlers apart from the one over they’ve kept it tight.

To my uneducated mind we’ve started well and they don’t seem close to letting rip with boundaries?

Suspect they may target our second string bowlers. Got a bit of a concern our bowlers aren't suited to this wicket. Apart from possible Woakes,their natural length is possibly too short.
Neither batsman looks comfortable, down to the good bowling. NZ need to open up the bat soon or they’ll not reach a reasonable run rate. So far, from what I’ve seen, the bowlers are playing their part ... but it’s a long day.
England just slightly on top but NZ won't be unhappy. That bad review might cost them though.

I set her up in the dining room. I doubt it’s changed anything but at least I can’t hear her moaning about it.
Even start i think. If we'd had another wicket then I think it would have been our hour. We could do with the sun to come out in around 90 minutes as Boult will be filling his boots. Decent tight bowling as reflected in the run rate but we need more that would hit the stumps to bring an edge or LBW.
