I'd read this earlier today, Davy. This particular article is less easy to believe than the one I read. This one claims that it's an opening offer of £30m. Doesn't make sense when we've put a £30m price on his head, does it?
Prolly wild speculation, but who knows these days. I love Phillips, but I'd bite their hand off for £30m, personally. But tbh, I just don't see it coming. In fact, I doubt if we'd ever see the £14m that Villa were allegedly going to offer. All this crap is generated by agents & 'sports writers', to use the term extremely loosely, when there's no real news about.
But like I said, if it came to pass, I'd take it. It won't though. More chance of me signing on £100k a week.

If not, I'd take 30m too. Star man, but replaceable with that sort of cash.
What I'd really like to see though, is Kalvin signing a long-term contract at his boyhood club on appropriate wages, then another in 4 years and being the first one-club career player since our Gary Kelly.

Never heard of it before. Didn't even realise that u21 was still a thing! Did note that it was 'by invitation', but no idea what qualifies you to be invited. And would you want to be invited?
Thought it might be the sort of competition to allow our juniors to butt heads with the glitterati as a yardstick, so yeah.

BPF - would be a whole lot of losing face if he did go to Burnley as an understudy after bumping his gums about needing to be a #1
Standout 'keeper for me so far has been Maizek. Is he a #1? No idea, but just as close, if not closer than BPF, imo. Not sure where Huffer stands in the pecking order either. He's no slouch. We seem to be ok for the future. It's the present that concerns me.
Most surprising thing about the Guisley match for me was Keneh coming on as a CB & playing really well. There's enough pressure on someone making their debut, but at 16, and not in your natural position? Wow, impressive. This is the lad I was tipped the wink about. He's a Viera-type (as in Arsenal version) midfielder, and a bit of a tank. Just can't believe how easy he made playing CB look.
