Arsenal are prepared to add defenders Calum Chambers, 24, Carl Jenkinson, 27, or midfielder Mohamed Elneny, 26, into any potential deal for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha. ...do they want Palace to keep rejecting their offers?
Sky saying Palace are demanding close to £100m for Zaha. Utter insanity. No-one is going to pay that. Even if we had got Champions League football, I would never want us spending crazy money on a player who is good, but not great. I hope we move onto other targets. Plenty of quality wingers out there who won't cost an arm and a leg....and all your organs.
Starting to look as if somebody at the Goons is trying to show that they can still seize whoever they want from lesser clubs, because they are a big club.
This is the last thing we needed right now. FFS. Apparently, he wants us to terminate his contract so he can move back to France. There have been several clubs reported to have met with him (Lyon, Rennes, Toulouse...). He's asked to leave for a while, but Arsenal have maintained the position that if they receive a transfer fee in the region of €10m, they will let him go. But if they don't, he stays. On the whole, this is really poor from Koscielny. Even the club are shocked at a player, who is held in quite high esteem and has dedicated 9 years of his life to the club, has resorted to an ugly strategy to get his own way. I'm siding with the club on this. He is under contract at Arsenal and we are more than entitled to ask for a fee. Also, when he was injured for almost a year, we still paid his wages. We didn't look for ways of not fulfilling our duty of care to him. Yet now he wants to leave, he's resorting to this? Loyalty is a two-way street. We can't let him have his own way. We need to make an example of him.
1. How many years on his current contract ?? 2. What level of wages is he on ?? 3. What wages are his suitors offering him ?? No doubt between all the above there is a "face facing" arrangement that does not hurt the bottom line of all clubs involved.
I don't know about the last question, but his contract runs out next year (July 2020) and he's on around £90k per week.
Seems as though his suitors may have promised to match wages but the numbers only add up if the transfer fee is nominal. He may have to drop his wages in order for things to proceed as I stated (how badly do he and the suitors want the transfer to happen ?? ) .
Yeah must admit I was surprised that it was he of all players who was acting up. Always came across as a model pro. Didn’t even know he was desperate to leave either.
So now it's £40m cash and £3m in players (and that's being generous ) for a player whose club want £80m for.
I’d actually be so insulted if a club tried offering me Elneny, Chambers and Jenkinson as part of a deal for my best player. I’d probably even up the value of Zaha just for sheer rudeness of such a bid.
Seems like both Arsenal and Tottenham will be locking horns over who gets Dani Ceballos. You lot are in the Champions League and have the better team, but he's said he wants to play around 40 games or more. If his primary reason for going on loan is purely to play football, he'd have a better chance of doing that with us, as he'd walk straight into our midfield (which is absolutely garbage). Don't think he would be a guaranteed starter for you.
If they do manage re-sign Neymar, UEFA may as well just give them the CL now. Messi, Suarez, Griezmann and Neymar... **** off, just **** off.
Neymar, Griezmann and Messi as a front three with Suarez and Dembele on the bench! At least they didn't sign de Jong to strengthen their midfield. Oh, wait...
